MBA(Masters in business management) is the most trending career option in 2020 chosen by the students as their post-graduation program. It offers lucrative jobs, exposure to the corporate world and enhances the skills to meet the requirements of various business sectors in the world.MBA, unlike other professional courses, is not limited to students from a  particular stream.This article focuses on the top MBA colleges in PUNE as Pune is the hub of education and there is a plethora of great educational institutes to choose from. There is a total of 4400 MBA colleges in India out of which 207 are in Pune.

Choosing the right college for an MBA can be a daunting task so the students need to research the college and consider several factors before choosing one. There are various factors a student must consider in choosing an MBA college are:-

SIBM Pune(Symbiosis Institute Of Business Management)

SIBM Pune was ranked 20th in NIRF B-School ranking by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and is one of the most prestigious B-schools of India. SIBM Pune is a part of the Symbiosis International(Deemed University). The college offers world-class infrastructure and a phenomena campus life. The fee for the flagship MBA program is Rs. 20.50 Lakhs with average placement being around Rs 17 lakh per annum(2017-2019). Candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC / ST) at graduation level. There is an intake of 180 students every year and SNAP is the  only exam accepted by this institution 

 

SCMHRD (Symbiosis Centre For Management And Human Resource Development) 

Established in 1993, SCMHRD's MBA program is one of the most prestigious programs in India. SCMHRD specializes in producing quality talent in the fields of HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Infrastructure Development and Management, and Business Analytics. The average salary of SCMHRD remains on Rs. 15.6 lakhs  p.a while its tuition fee is Rs 17,43,000. The total number of seats in this college is 180 and a candidate is selected on the basis of SNAP score only.

 

SIIB(Symbiosis Institute of International Business )

SIIB is a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) and is one of the highly acclaimed business schools in the country. The MBA–IB is an intensive program specifically designed for a rewarding career in business management, globally s. Core courses in International Business are spread over the two years to create a strong foundation, which is enhanced by specializations in the functional areas of Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management and HR from the second semester. The fee for the  MBA-IB  program is Rs. 16.22 Lakhs with average placement being around Rs 10.25 lakh per annum. The total intake is 120 every year through the SNAP test.

 

PUMBA(The Department of Management Sciences)

The Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University, one of the first Management Institutes in India, is a pioneer by itself in the field of Management Studies. The tuition fee for the session 2017- 2019 batch was approximately Rs. 1,34,000 and average CTC offered was Rs. 5.94 LPA. Admission into the MBA program is through MHT CET, CAT, and CMAT

 

SITM(Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management )

Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM) established in 1996 is popular in providing a degree in the field of Telecom Management. For MBA, the candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent from a recognized institute/university. Admission to MBA is done on the basis of SNAP followed by GE, PI-WAT. The tuition fee is approximately Rs 11,00,000 and Average Salary- 9.72 LPA. Their total intake is 150 every year through the SNAP exam.

 

BIMM(Balaji Institute Of Modern Management)

Balaji Institute of Modern Management, popularly known as BIMM, is the flagship institute of Sri Balaji Society. PGDM admission is based on a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MAH CET followed by Group Discussion and Personal interview. The tuition fees are 7,85,000 and the average CTC offered was 6 lacs per annum. The total intake is 360 every year.

 

BIMHRD(Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development)

The fourth institution in the society: ICMHRD (Indian Centre for Management and Human Resources Development) was established in the year 2004 in the Brahma Estate building in Kondwa Kund in Pune. BIMHRD intake 240 students every year through CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, MAH CET to their MBA/PGDM program. The tuition fee is INR 7,85,000.

 

ISBM Pune(International School of Business and Media)

 

ISB&M's programs are AICTE approved and directed towards employment & career. ISB&M's Placement Cell makes every possible effort to ensure that all students pass out with a good job offer. ISB&M's training courses are highly accepted and acknowledged by industry for Management/executive level employment

This college offers admission to MBA/PGDM program through CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and MAH CET. The tuition fee is Rs  10,80,000 and their total intake is 300 every year.

IIMS Pune( International Institute of Management Studies)

International Institute of Management Studies (IIMS) is a Premier B-School in Maharashtra under the Prestigious Educational Group "SaiBalaji Education Society (SBES). Their fee for the MBA program is Rs 7,20,000 and their average CTC offered is 6.25 LPA. They conduct their admission through CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, MAH CET, and ATMA. Their total intake is 240 every year.

 

FLAME University School of Business

FLAME University has been established as a state private university vide the FLAME University Act 2014 (Maharashtra Act No. II of 2015) of the Government of Maharashtra. The minimum eligibility is Graduation with 50% marks in aggregate. The exams accepted for admission to its MBA program are CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ MAT/ CMAT or MH-CET (conducted by DTE Maharashtra). The tuition fee is Rs 10.60 LPA and the average CTC offered is 5.2 lacs per annum.

Only clearing the exam cutoffs does not guarantee admission to these colleges. The candidate also has to undergo the GD-PI process on the basis of which final admission would be offered. At the end, it is your call to decide which B-school would benefit you and pursuing MBA from it is worth according to your career plannings.
