IIT Hyderabad will host an International Conference on CARRS (Condition Assessment, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting of Structures) from December 14 to 16 this year i.e 2020. this International conference will help to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, students and practicing engineers from all over the world and will provide a platform to exchange their expertise, research outcomes on aspects of structural health assessment.
In a press release by the IIT Hydrabad write that" CARRS 2020 will be the first international conference to be held in India, covering the fields of structural assessment, repair and rehabilitation of structures. It will also provide a multidisciplinary platform to share the latest advances, trends and practical challenges in fields of repair and rehabilitation of civil infrastructure"
"around 17,000 Indian railway bridges need immediate strengthening. Among the outcomes we expect from this conference is developing a strategic partnership between the research community and practicing engineers to work on ready-to-use technologies for a faster and economic strengthening of civil infrastructure" said by the conference secretary and associate professor, department of civil engineering Mr.S Suriya Prakash during speaking about the importance of this conference.
This conference is likely to see more than 500 participants and nearly 300 research papers will be presented from all over the world. the research paper will be presented by several sections during these 2 days.
