Lovely Professional University (LPU) is situated in Jalandhar of Punjab in the year 2005. It is a private university and is run by Lovely International Trust. This university has set a benchmark in the education business by providing courses across all fields. The University offers admission to more than 30,000 students who take admission into various schools such as the School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Journalism, Films and Creative Arts, and Mittal School of Business to name a few. It has more than 4000 staff and faculty members.
In 2017, ASSOCHAM awarded LPU with the tag of 'Best Private University Award'. It has an extremely contemporary campus on the National Highway near Jalandhar city. It is considered the largest single-campus private university in India. Scholarship:
Lovely Professional University, [LPU] strongly believes and supports the internal talent of the students that are remaining hidden due to monetary constraints. So, the University trust offers a group of scholarships worth INR 1.7 Lakhs per student after 10th, INR 4.9 Lakhs per student 12th, and 3.8 Lakhs per student studying after graduation. The LPU scholarship criteria are given below:
- The students who have tipped the state or central board in their 10th, 12th, or graduation program, then they will be given a certain amount of scholarship.
- Lovely Professional University offers scholarship facilities to the students who have secured good ranks in the National Level Entrance Tests like JEE Main, CMAT, GATE, LSAT, NEET, CAT/ XAT/MAT, GPAT, CEED, NATA, NMAT, CLAT, UCEED, etc.
- The students with some exceptional talent in Sports, Social Service, Cultural and Co-curricular activities, Bravery Awards, TABS, R&D, etc are offered some scholarship amount.
- The candidates, who have placed in the top ranks of the LPUNEST exam, will be facilitated with some scholarship.
All the scholarship amounts will be determined by the university authority. All the decisions like the cutoff, bracket, etc will be determined by the authority.
LPU 2020 Placement Records:
LPU is popular for the best placements records since the foundation. It is considered the largest job provider in Northern India. The LPU placement is controlled by the "Division of Career Services”. It helps students to develop appropriate skills and knowledge required in the corporate world in accordance with industry standards globally. It sets up placement drives as well as job fairs around the LPU Campus. It also trains students in some creative areas such as resume writing sessions, aptitude development workshops, career advisory services, personality development sessions, etc.
More than 650 companies took part in the campus drive and approximately 2500 above students got placed in terms of job/internship. The highest package offered in the 2020 campus drive was 42 LPA by Microsoft to a final year B.Tech Computer Science Engineering student.
