AIEED stands for All India Entrance Exam for Design is a national level exam that is organized by the ARCH Academy of Design for admission of students into undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses available in several fields of design at their Delhi and Jaipur campuses. This entrance exam is conducted for admission to design and fashion courses and is held in three stages that is GAT (General Ability Test), CAT (Creative Ability Test), and a PI. AIEED 2021 entrance exam will be conducted from 25 February to 28 February this year.  And the result of AIEED 2021 will be declared at least five days after the completion of all the stages of the examination.

Preparing for the AIEED exam needs a lot of practice and hard work as it has three stages of the exam as GAT and CAT. AIEED Exam Pattern:

There will be three stages in the AIEED entrance exam that is GAT, CAT, and a PI. 

The first stage of AIEED is GAT which examines candidates’ general ability and comprehension through multiple choice questions and topics included are Design related awareness, Logical reasoning, Concepts and comprehension, Design sensibilities, and Awareness of global issues.

The second stage of AIEED is CAT for those students who have qualified GAT. And the topics included in this stage are Articulation skills both visual & written, Design thinking, Lateral thinking & Creative problem solving, and Awareness of design principles.
And the third stage is all about Personal Interaction (PI) where candidates’ Composure, range of work, and depth of thinking will be examined.

It is very much important for candidates to understand the paper pattern of the exam to know how to prepare for the AIEED exam. Mentioned below is the AIEED exam pattern:

Practice Mock Tests

Another essential factor is to practice several mock tests, previous year’s exam questions, patterns, etc. Sample papers are going to be apt for the candidates during the last few days of preparation. And also candidates can find sample papers for GAT and CAT on the official website of AIEED. 

Keep working on the crafts

Design is the combination of patterns, details, colors, textures, and especially the Illustration skill that is of utmost essential when it comes to design. So, work on the crafts and ace up the creativity

Time Management

Time Management is one of the very essential tips that the candidates should keep in their mind before they enter the exam hall. And candidates should read all the guidelines properly with the questions as there are different points on different questions where time will be spent accordingly in each of them. So, while solving the questions time yourself because that will help you manage time effectively and identify the sections that you need to concentrate on more while revising. 

Bring refinement in sketching skills

Candidates are suggested to practice and develop principles of basic drawing as that will help them solve drawing questions.
