Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PU-CET) is conducted to provide admission in various undergraduate courses. The entrance test is conducted by Punjab University, Chandigarh. Candidates who are seeking admission to various B.Sc. courses in various subjects are required to appear and qualify PUCET.

PU CET exam mainly consists of six subjects such as; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. To crack the PU CET entrance exam, the applicant needs proper planning to defeat the PU CET entrance exam.

Stepwise Preparation for PU CET (UG)

Step 1: Understand the PU CET (UG) Pattern and Marking Scheme.

Step 2: Get the prescribed PU CET (UG) syllabus for the applied course.

Step 3: Get all the study material you can to prepare better for PU CET (UG)

Step 4: Create a day to day and weekly time table on how much material you can study on a daily basis.

Step 5: Revise as much as you can at the end of the day.

 PU CET (UG) Preparation Tips:

Make a Schedule: The students should make a time management schedule as to how much study material can one cover in a certain time period. It is important to create a plan and a schedule before one gets down to study and prepare for the entrance exam. Sufficient time should be allocated to each subject and each topic. Give yourself enough rest and time to revise as well in the schedule. Preparation works well according to plan.


Solve Previous Years Question Papers: The best way to know and understand the entrance exam is by solving the previous years' question papers. Through a previous year entrance exam question paper, one can understand the exam pattern, marking scheme and the type of questions which can come in the entrance exam. Solve the question papers and test your abilities.

Revision: Once you have prepared, it’s time to revise what you have studied. By revising, you can remember better what you have studied. For example, if you have opted for History, dates are the most important part of the subject. By revising, you understand what you have studied better.

Get Prep Books: Get as many prep books as you can according to the course applied for. Through prep books, one can get more information that is not mentioned in the prescribed syllabus which can be helpful in understanding the topic. Prep books also test you through questions related to topics covered in the question paper. Get at least two to three prep books.


Manage Yourself: Students need to manage their time for study and extracurricular activities. To manage your things, make a proper plan, and assign. Create your proper schedule for study. Try not to waste your time and study as hard as you can.


Exercise before you start studying: It is very necessary to do exercise before you sit for your study.  If you feel tired go for a short walk. Fresh air has a significant role to play in helping you concentrate.


Study Everyday: To crack any competitive exam you must sit down for study every day. It is important to have a routine while you are preparing for the PU CET Entrance exam in Chandigarh. Try not to break the routine. On the weekend you may sit down for a long period of time but in between take frequent breaks for relaxation.

Mock Practice: Set yourself as appearing before the competitive exam with certainly working on various questions. Do practice for all the subjects. Try to attempt maximum mock tests for better revision ad to crack the PU CET exam in the first attempt.
