NDA 2021 Application:
Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. Detailed instructions are available on the mentioned website www.upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. Last Date to apply through online mode is 19th January 2021.
The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (upsc.gov.in) for being downloaded by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail id while filling up the online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
Form Filling Process:
The form filling process of NDA has two parts. The part-1 consists of personal details, branch preference, verifying details and registration ID generation etc while the part-2 consists of fee Payment, Selection of examination center, & Uploading of Photograph and Signature.
Part-1:
Personal details:
- Candidates must have to full fill all the details mentioned in the application form like personal details, educational details and communication details.
- The personal details involve Name of the candidate, Date of birth, Gender, Father’s Name, and Mother’s Name, Nationality, Marital status, Community, Fee Remission, etc;
- The educational qualification includes all the details regarding the Secondary School Exam or an equivalent exam.
- The communication details required the correct address, phone number, registered email ID with emergency contact number, etc
Branch Preferences:
- Candidates need to choose their preferences among the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy based on their choice.
- To choose the branch preference, they have to select numbers between 1 to 4.
- If the candidate does not want to give any preference, then go for the option "0".
- Those who are from Sanik/Military School or Son of JCO/NCO/Other Rank Officer have to enter details.
Verifying details:
- After filling the details, candidates have to verify all the details they have entered in the application form.
- Once you go through the details you have put and then click on the "I agree" option because after pressing the button you are no more able to change any details.
- Registration ID generation:
- Candidates can see their registration ID on this page.
- The registration ID of the Candidates will be sent to his registered email ID.
Part-2:
Fee Payment:
- Candidates can pay the application fee in both online and offline mode
- The application fee for General/OBC is Rs. 100 while for SC/ST there is no application fee is applicable.
- The mode of online payment is through any branch of SBI bank/net banking and in offline payment the candidate has to take the print out of pay-in-slip during part-II registration and deposit the fee.
Exam center selection:
- The conducting body UPSC decides the exam centers places.
- Candidates have to choose the exam city according to their comfort.
- Candidates are advised to select the exam center earlier so that they don't have to face the lack of exam centers.
Uploading of Photograph and Signature:
- Candidates need to upload all the necessary documents such as copies of scanned photo and signature.
- The size of the scanned photo should be between 3 KB-40 KB while the size of the signature must be 1 KB.
NDA 2021 Application Fee:
- Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/MasterCard Credit/Debit Card.
- Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode, should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only.
- “Pay by Cash” mode option will be deactivated one day before the closing date; however, applicants who have generated their Pay-in-slip before it is de-activated may pay at the counter of SBI Branch during banking hours on the closing date.
- Such applicants who are unable to pay by cash on the closing date i.e. during banking hours at SBI Branch, for reason whatsoever, even if holding a valid Pay-in-Slip, will have no other offline option but to opt for online Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking Payment mode.
