SSC JE 2020 exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission of India for recruiting Group - B (non-gazetted) posts of Level 6. Recruitment is conducted across various departments of Engineering, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. It's a national level entrance exam that is conducted only once a year. SSC JE 2020 Schedule
Staff Selection Commission, the conducting authorities of the SSC JE 2020 exam have released the official schedule on its official website. The last date to register for the exam is 30th October 2020. As per the notification, the exam will be conducted in two phases, Paper 1 exam will be conducted from 22nd March to 25th March 2020. The Admit Card/Hall Ticket for SSC JE 2020 exam will be released after the completion of the registration process. SSC JE 2020 Exam Pattern
The SSC JE 2020 exam comprises of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. However, Paper 1 is Objective based while, Paper 2 is Subject one. It is a computer-based test comprising of 200 multiple-choice questions. SSC JE Paper 1 includes 3 sections that are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering. However, General Engineering has been further divided into three sections (Civil & Structural/Electrical/Mechanical). Moreover, the General Engineering section has the option of attempting any one of the three, Civil & Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical.

SSC JE Marking Scheme:
There is no negative marking for SSC JE Paper 2 as it is a subjective/descriptive type paper. However, SSC JE Paper 1 has a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer and 1 mark is awarded for every correct one. Therefore it is advised that applicants should avoid the assumption method and focus on attempting only those questions that they are sure of answering correctly.

SSC JE 2020 Counseling
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) does not conduct any counselling sessions due to the fact that the SSC JE Exam is for selecting eligible candidates for various posts of different departments i.e. Engineering, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. However, training sessions are conducted for the new recruits to familiarize themselves with the work culture and environment. On the other hand, all the posts don't have a mandatory training period. But some technical posts demand the need of working in a hazardous environment and therefore require a proper training period.
SSC JE 2020 Result
Staff Selection Commission will release the result of SSC JE 2020 on its official website. The result will be released in the form of a merit list. Candidates can check their result by logging in with valid login credentials like registration number and password. SSC JE Result will be declared categorically as per the posts. However, at first, the result of Paper 1 will be released, aspirants who have successfully qualified the cut-off can appear in the second phase of the exam i.e paper 2. Candidates who have successfully registered for the paper 1 will be invited for the exam. SSC JE cutoff will be declared for all the posts respectively.
