National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam date of NEET PG 2021 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate). 

  • NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination conducted for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  •  No other entrance examination either state or institution level shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses.
  •  NEET is also mandatory for foreign nationals seeking admission to medical courses in India.

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the exam date of NEET PG 2021 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate). The exam will be conducted on 18th April 2021.

NEET PG 2021 Admit Card:

The admit card will be made live NBE website, https://nbe.edu.in on 12th April 2021. Candidates will be informed through SMS/ Email alerts regarding the availability of admit cards.The candidates need to download & take out a print of the admit card and attach a photo to it. The admit a card is a mandatory object for the entrance exam. No students will be allowed to appear in the exam without the admit card. The candidates also need to keep a valid photo ID Proof which shall be produced at the time of need.

NEET PG Admit Card 2021

1- Candidates who applied for the NEET PG exam can download their NEET PG Admit Card 2021 from the official website www.nbe.edu.in using their login credentials. Keep your admit card with you after NEET PG 2021 Cutoff announcement, it will be required in counseling.
2- Candidates are required to paste their latest photograph in the prescribed space in the Admit Card and report to the examination center within the prescribed time along with documents as mentioned in the Admit card.
3- Candidates reporting late to the examination center will not be allowed.

Steps to download NEET PG, Admit Card:

  • Candidates are required to click on the link (official website) to download the NEET PG 2021 admit card.
  • In the next step, candidates should enter log-in credentials - user ID and password.
  • After entering the credentials, copy the captcha code as given in the image.
  • Candidates will be directed to the window where NEET PG 2021 admit card is displayed. It is advisable to take a printout of the NEET - PG hall ticket 2021.
  • A passport size photograph (color) of the NEET PG aspirant has to be affixed on the admit card.
Photograph specification:
1- A photograph of a minimum of 35 mm x 45 mm with at least 75% coverage of face & head of the candidate.
2- A caption with the name of the aspirant along with the date of taking photograph at the bottom of the photo.
3- The photograph should have been taken in a white /very light-colored background
4- The photograph needs to be printed on a high-quality paper with at least 600 dpi Resolutions.
5- The colors must possess the natural appearance and skin tone.
6- The photograph must not have kinks, scratches and stains.
7- Photograph with reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes should be avoided
Documents for NEET PG 2021
Candidates must bring the following documents to the test centre along with Admit Card of NEET PG
Original Documents: Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false/ forged documents. Therefore, candidates are expected to bring original documents.
Print with photo: Print a copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it. The Photocopy of Permanent and Provisional SMC/MCII registration will be retained at the test Centre by the NEET exam hall invigilators.
Authorized photo ID: Any of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) such as: PAN card, Aadhaar Card (With photograph), Driving License, Voter ID, Passport should be brought.

Important Notes for NEET PG 2021

SMC/MCI Certificate: Candidates who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India, and do not have State Medical Council (SMC)/Medical Counselling of India (MCI) registration, should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.

The name should match with photo: The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage, the candidate must show the relevant document at the time of the exam.

Carry admit card and photo identification: Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification with them at all times during the course of conduction of the examination.

NEET PG 2021 Syllabus:

The candidates appearing for the NEET PG 2021 entrance exam are advised to go through the syllabus set by the exam conducting authorities before starting their exam preparation. NEET PG 2021 Exam Pattern:

It is very important to understand the subject sections with their marks distribution and NEET PG exam pattern before writing the exam. The NEET PG 2021 exam contains 3 sections in total and the total number of marks is 200. The duration of the exam is 210 minutes and there is no specified time duration in which each section is completed, the candidate is free to choose his own time.

NEET PG 2021 Exam Highlights

Authority: The exam conducting authority of NEET PG 2021, National Board of Examinations (NBE) will declare the exam pattern of NEET PG 2021 along with NEET PG 2021 notification.

NEET PG 2021 Cut Off:

The minimum mark required to qualify the entrance exam is considered as the cut off mark. However, NEET PG 2021 Cut Off mark varies as per the categories of the candidates. The cut off marks as per the categories will be released by the authorities. There will be no chance of re-evaluation of the answer sheet. So the rank produced at the time of result declaration will be the final list.
The cut off marks will be different for each category. The cut off of NEET PG 2021 is prepared on considering the various factors such as a total number of candidates, number of qualified candidates, previous year cut off, the difficulty level of paper and reservation criteria.
Determinants of NEET PG 2021 Cutoff:

NEET PG 2021 Application Form:

Those candidates who want to apply for the NEET PG entrance exam can go to the official website of NBE. However, students can not apply for the entrance exam except the online mode.
  • New User Registration: All candidates desirous of applying for NEET-PG 2021 shall be required to create an online profile of themselves to generate a UserID and Password.

Steps To Apply For NEET PG 2021 Online

Step 1: Registration

1- Visit the official website nbe.edu.in. 

2- Select ‘NEET PG’. 

3- Read all the instructions carefully and click on “Proceed to apply online”.

4- Enter name, gender, parent’s name and valid email address.

4- Click on the “Submit” button.

5- A note will be generated as a pop up stating your Application No. and informing about your issued NEET PG Application NO and Password.

Step 2: Filling the Application Form

In this step, candidates need to provide the following details

1- Personal Details: Name, DOB, Gender, Nationality, Father & Mother’s name, Religion, Category etc.

2- Contact Details: Email ID and Mobile Number

3- Identification Details: Govt. Issued Identification; Identification No. and Marks of Identification.

4- Correspondence Address: Home address, Country, State, City/ District and Pincode.

5- Medical Council Registration Details: MCI/ SMC Registration Type, Registration No. etc.

6- A review page will be opened, check all the entered details and click on the “Submit” button.

Step 3: Uploading Images

1- Upload Scanned Images by clicking “Choose File” option.

2- Size has to be between 10kb-30kb for both signature and photograph.

3- MCI/SMC certificate must be uploaded having a size not more than 500 kb.

4- Click on the “Next” button. Preview of images will appear.

5- Click on the “Upload” button to upload images.

Step 4: Scheduling the Exam

1- Select the exam location

2- Select the exact test centre and check the location.

3- Select preferred date and time of the examination.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

1- Click on the “Make Payment” option.

2- Remit the application fee via debit card/credit card/ net banking/ e-wallet.

3- Choose the respective bank and click on “Go for payment”.

4- Enter bank details and pay the application fee.

Step 6: Confirmation page printout

After finishing the fee payment process, candidates can take the printout of the confirmation page. Take at least four printouts of the confirmation page. 

NEET PG Application Form Correction:

  1. If a candidate forgets his/her username or password, the following steps must be followed:
  2. Click on Forgot your username or password link below in the login page.
  3. Select the option which is to be retrieved.
  4. For username, enter the registered email id and CAPTCHA.
  5. Click on the Email Username button.
  6. Candidates will be asked the secret reminder question which has to be answered.
  7. The user name will then be mailed in the registered email ID.
  8. For password, click on forgot password link.
  9. Secret reminder question will be asked again.
  10. The password will be mailed in the email ID of the candidate.

NEET PG 2021 application form: Fields that cannot be changed

There are certain fields in the application form of NEET PG 2021 that cannot be changed. These fields are pre-filled from the registration form into the application form and cannot be edited even in the correction window. Thus, candidates are advised to fill the below-mentioned details carefully.

What can be changed using the correction window?

Every year NBE receives applications from candidates requesting a correction window. Based on the requests received, the National Board of Examinations provides the facility for correction/change in the NEET PG application form. The fields that can be edited using a correction window may vary every year. The details that can be changed in this year's application form of NEET PG are

NEET PG 2021 Counselling:

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will announce the dates of NEET PG 2021 counselling.
The counselling of NEET PG 2021 for 50% All India Quota seats will be conducted in two rounds. While the counselling for Central & Deemed Universities will be conducted in three rounds.
MCC will conduct counselling for the following categories:
  • 50 % All India Quota seats for all State Govt. medical/dental colleges/institutes, except the state of Jammu and Kashmir as per merit of PG NEET 2021.
  • For all PG seats of the Deemed Universities as per merit of PG NEET 2021.
  • 50 % institutional quota seats for Central Universities of Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, and Banaras Hindu University.
  • PG counseling for institutes of Armed Forces Medical Services.
  • The state Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are participating in online counseling of All India Quota from the academic year 2020-21 onwards.

For final admissions, all the eligible candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Registration for Counselling

1- Visit MCC Official Website i.e. mcc.nic.in
2- Click on ‘NEET PG Counselling Registration’ link
3- Enter details – Application Number, Roll Number, DOB, and Name.
4- Click on ‘Submit’ button

Step 2: Exercising of Choices, Seat Allotment Process
1- Login by entering required details – testing ID/ Roll No./ Stream and Password.
2- Fill in the choice of subjects and colleges in order of preference.
3- Candidate can fill in as many options but should make sure to submit the same in the order of preference.
4- The options can be modified before locking the choices. After clicking on ‘Choice Locking’ all the choices submitted will appear on the screen.
5- If the students are confirmed about their choices then they can enter their password
Note: Applicants are advised to take the printout of locked choices which include locking date, IP address of the computer and unique number

After the completion of online registration, students will be allocated seats on the basis of their filled choices and merit in the exam. The results of seat allotment will be published online at MCC Official Website.
Step 4 – NEET PG 2021 Mock Counselling
Online NEET PG mock counselling is conducted by MCC to give students an idea of how the counselling process works. Seats will be allotted as per applicant’s choices and All India Rank. Aspirants can even modify their choices after mock counselling.
Step 5 – Choice locking of NEET PG 2021 counselling
After choice filling, aspirants can lock their choices by clicking on ‘Choice lock’. Choices once locked cannot be modified. Check the detailed procedure of choice locking for NEET PG counselling here.
1- On clicking on ‘choice lock’, the submitted choices will appear on the screen along with restrictions, if applicable.
2- Confirm the displayed contents before locking the choices.
3- During choice locking of NEET PG 2021 counselling, enter their password.
Take a printout of locked choices, including the locking date, IP address of computer and unique number.
Step 6 – NEET PG counselling 2021 seat allotment
After NEET PG 2020 counselling online registration, aspirants will be allotted seats on the basis of their choices filled, All India Rank and seats available. After seat allotment, MCC will publish the result of counselling round 1 displaying All India Rank, institute allotted, subjects, category under which admission was granted, category of candidate
Step 7 – Reporting at allotted colleges
After seat allotment, aspirants must download the allotment letter which will be provided on this page. Candidates must report at the allotted institutes along with the relevant documents and fees as mentioned in the allotment letter. Aspirants who will not be present on the specified date as written on allotment letter will be disqualified.

Types of Merit List in NEET PG 2021:

1- All India NEET PG 2021 rank: This is the overall rank or position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET PG 2021 throughout India.
2- All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET PG 2021 for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota 3- MD/MS/Post-Graduate Diploma Courses 2021 admission session.
4- All India 50% quota Category Rank : This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (Other Backward Classes/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe) as opted by the candidate in the NEET PG 2021 for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses 2021 admission session only.
5- State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank: State quota rank, state category rank, benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting (if applicable) etc shall be determined/generated by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/university/concerned authority as per applicable Regulation and/or their NEET 2021  Eligibility Criteria, guidelines, and applicable reservation policies. 

Documents Required For NEET PG 2021 Counselling

Choice of courses and colleges must be filled by the candidates during the counselling process. The admission of candidates depends upon their preferences, and availability of seats. The following documents must be shown during the counselling time.
  • NEET PG 2021  Admit Card and Rank Card.
  • Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate(10th&12th)
  • Graduation Certificate.
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Transfer Certificate.

NEET PG 2021 Merit List

NEET PG Merit list will be prepared by National Board of Examination. Names of the applicants who have successfully cleared the medical entrance examination will appear on the merit list. Following is the tie-breaking criteria which help MCC in preparation of merit list:
 
Tie Breaking Criteria in NEET PG
In case two or more students have similar marks in the examination; the following is the tie-breaking criteria which help to determine the list:
  • All India NEET PG 2021 rank: This is the overall merit position for all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET PG 2021 exam.
  • All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position for all the candidates who have appeared in the exam. All over India, 50% seats are reserved for MD/ MS/ Post-Graduate diploma courses
  • All India 50% quota Category rank: All over India, 50% seats are reserved for MD/ MS/ Post-Graduate diploma courses for the students who fall in a category of SC/ ST/ OBC.
  • State quota/ Private Medical Colleges/ Deemed University/ AFMS Rank: Seats are reserved for the students with state quota rank, state category rank, and rural posting etc shall be determined by designated agency/ authority of the concerned state/ university as per applicable regulations and reservation policies.
Basic Counselling for seats
Admission into Private medical colleges/Deemed University: Counselling for admission to private Medical Colleges, Institutions, Universities & Deemed Universities shall be conducted by the designated counselling authority of these Private Colleges/Institutions/Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities using NEET PG 2021 scores and as per applicable Regulations and/or their eligibility criteria, reservation policy, etc.
Admission into Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions: Counselling for admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions shall be conducted by the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defence, Government of India using NEET PG 2021 scores and as per their eligibility criteria, applicable Regulations & guidelines.
Admission into DNB Broad Speciality Courses: Centralised merit-based Counselling for admission to DNB courses shall be conducted by NBE using NEET PG 2021 scores.
Note: Counselling will be conducted for All India 50% quota seats. Moreover, NEET PG 2021 Counselling will also be conducted for All India 50% category rank seats.
NEET PG 2021 State Counselling 
1- The NEET PG counselling 2021 for remaining 50% State Quota seats (100% in case of Jammu and Kashmir) in government medical colleges and all the seats of self-financing and private colleges will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities.
2- The states will be conducting the common centralised counselling for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. The states will be releasing their own counselling schedule for NEET PG 2020 state counselling. The state merit list will be prepared on the basis of NEET PG merit list 2021.

Latest Notification on Reporting to Allotted Colleges

  • The Results of NEET PG 2021 Counselling Round 1 has been declared. The aspirants are likely to start reporting to the allocated institutes as per schedule.
  • Keeping in view the observance of many holidays, the colleges are directed to keep admission counters open on holidays. This is to ensure that the candidates are not facing any difficulties in admission.
  • At the time of admission, colleges are also instructed to take only the transaction charges (10% of annual fee) for candidates who have selected for upgrading in the next round. And, in case the candidates get upgraded, the documents should be handed over back to the candidates as early as possible and fees must be refunded if any.
  • In case any allotted candidate is not in a position to bring the Demand Draft (DD) in view of the bank holidays, he/she may be given provisional admission on the basis of post-dated cheque/ Undertaking. This is done to avoid any inconvenience to the candidate.
  • In case of any discrepancy regarding fees/Bond Information etc., the candidates are requested to confirm the same from the college authorities before reporting. 

Latest Notification regarding Counselling Exit Policy

  • With respect to certain queries being raised by the candidates regarding exit policy in Round 1, the following points have been given on the official website. And the same can be noted down by the candidates.
  • Candidates who have been allotted any seat under AIQ/Central University, if they do not report or join to the allotted institute will be allotted free exit. That means aspirants will be reimbursed back with his/her Refundable Tuition Fee as per his eligibility directly to his account in due course of time. However, the candidate will not be eligible for participating in further rounds of counselling.

NEET PG 2021 Result:

The result for NEET PG 2021will be announced by the exam conducting authorities, National Board of Examinations on 31st May 2021. The candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of NBE to get their scorecard. While checking the result, the candidate will have to use their Confirmation ID, Testing ID, and DOB. The IDs have been issued during the time of registration. As per the result and the cut off mark, the candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling session.

How to Check NEET PG 2021 Result?

Candidates can check their results by entering their credentials namely Confirmation No., Testing ID and Date of Birth which is mentioned on the admit card issued by NBE. Steps to check the NEET PG Result and scorecard is mentioned below:

  • Visit the official site of NBE
  • Click on the link for “NEET PG 2021 Results”
  • Enter the required credentials, i.e., testing id and date of birth to download the result
  • Check the score and qualifying status on the Score Card.
  • Candidates are advised to download the final scorecard as it would be required at the time of counselling as well as final reporting to the college for admission.
NEET PG 2021 Score Card:
In NEET PG 2021 scorecard, the candidate’s all India rank will be printed along with other details. Candidates would be able to download their result cum scorecard from the website. Candidates would have to use their testing ID and date of birth to download their scorecard.
Result can also be seen through offline mode at Notice Board at Ansari Nagar Office of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. The scorecard is not be sent to any candidate individually.
  • There shall be NO re-evaluation or rechecking or re-totaling of responses marked by the candidates. Requests/Queries for reevaluation/re-totaling shall not be entertained.

The validity of the result of NEET PG 2021 will be applicable only for a current admission session 2021for  for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.

TIE BREAKER CRITERIA:
In the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same score, the merit position shall be determined using the following tie-breaker criteria in descending order:
A. Candidate having greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
B. Candidate having a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
C. Older candidates will be placed at a better merit position.
D. Candidate securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position.

NEET PG 2021: Answer Key

NEET PG 2021 answer key will be made available online by NBE (National Board of Examination) after the exam is conducted. In order to evaluate their own performance in the NEET PG 2021 exam, students can check with the answer key online.

Steps to download answer key:

1- Visit the official site i.e. nbe.edu.in

2- Click on the link for “NEET PG 2021 Answer Key”

3- Enter your testing id and date of birth.

4- Answer key will be displayed on the screen.

5- Download the official answer key and verify the result.

NEET PG 2021 Eligibility:

Candidates who fail to clear the defined criteria will not be getting the admission to the post-graduate course. If at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided wrong information, admission of such candidate will be cancelled.

NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria are as follows:

  1. Candidates who possess MBBS degree or a certificate which declares the candidate has the provisional MBBS degree can apply for the NEET PG. The certificate or the MBBS degree must be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  2. Along with the degree or certificate, the candidate must possess 1 year of experience certificate. The candidate can apply for the NEET PG 2021. The candidates have completed one
    year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 30th June 2021 are eligible to apply.
  3. NEET PG eligibility criteria define that the candidates who have cleared the MBBS degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir will not be getting seats under the All India Quota. The candidates who have been allotted government medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are eligible for the All India 50% Quota.
  4. The candidates must provide the duly signed affidavit stating that the candidate got to the college through the centralized counselling, along with the print out of the acknowledgement of submission of the NEET PG Application Form. The submission has to be done by the candidates who have done the MBBS degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.
  5. The declaration must reach the office. The submission of the declaration has to be done at the office of the Deputy Director (Examination):

  6. The candidates must be sure themselves about NEET eligibility and if found at any stage later that the candidate is ineligible, such candidate’s candidature is canceled. The candidates who have cleared the exam and have been allocated seat through NEET PG 2021 Counseling can also be asked to leave the seat under the rule.
  7. There are no exceptions to the eligibility guidelines and thus the candidates are requested to apply only if they have valid degrees and have completed the internship.
  8. Merely completing NEET PG registration process does not confer any applicant for the seat for the PG program. The candidates have to clear the exam and appear for NEET PG 2021 Counselling wherein a seat will be allocated.
  9. The internship certificate must be submitted under NEET PG eligibility rule must define clearly the starting date and the last date of the Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship program. The certificate of the internship must be submitted in original.
  10. The colleges that received recognition after the MCI Cutoff date are considered invalid.
  11. The registration of the applicant is necessary with the M.C.I/ State Medical council. The documentary proof of the same must be furnished by the candidate on the day of examination and at the time of counseling/admission.

As per the eligibility rule defined by some Universities/ Institutes, candidates who are pursuing the PG degree from their college or any other college or university cannot apply for the PG program again in their college. The candidate can thus be refused for NEET PG admission. The NBE/MCC/MoHFW shall not be responsible for admission cancellation for such students.

The candidates can go through the registration process only once.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates 

1- Indian citizens or Overseas Indian Citizens who have attained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Colleges of Medicine outside India should have cleared the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations.

2- Further, they should register themselves with MCI/SMC and should have completed their internship. For all the Foreign Medical Graduates, NBE will issue the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Pass Certificate, which all the candidates should carry on the day of examination.

3- Dates indicated by candidates in the NEET PG application form about the 12 month-Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship shall be considered to be in the concluding stage. Moreover, at the time of admission in the allotted Medical College/Institute, all these candidates need to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate.

Note: For the 12 month-Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship, candidates have to mention internship starting date and completion date.

Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

1- As per the new eligibility criteria of NEET PG, it is not compulsory for foreign nationals to possess the provisional MCI registration certificate at the time of NEET-PG examination.

2- The foreign nationals candidates can write the exams without MCI registration certificate.

3-  The temporary registration will be issued with a condition that such aspirants must be duly registered with the competent registering authority of their own country from the place he/she got her basic degree.

Registration of NEET: Registration and/or appearance in NEET-PG 2021 do not grant any automatic rights to a candidate for admission into a medical Institute for MS/MD or Course of PG Diploma.

Date of NEET Internship:  It is compulsory for all candidates to do an internship. They must also have permanent registration from MCI (Medical Counselling of India) or from the respective State Medical Council (SMC).

NEET 2021 Cutoff: NEET-PG cutoff release dates for the validation of the Medical Colleges, from the same college or university the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree. It is required to complete their rotatory Internship for the year 2021 will be as assigned by MCI. The Colleges recognized after the date of cutoff release by the MCI will not be entertained.

1- NEET PG 2021 Cutoff (out of 100) will be category wise, the General category aspirants should score a minimum of 50, 40 for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 45 for Persons with disabilities (PWD) class.

2- The NEET PG 2021 Cutoff (out of 1200) will be category wise, the General category students should score a minimum 321, 281 for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 300 for the Person with disabilities (PWD) class.

Medical State Council: Registration with Medical Counselling of India (M.C.I)/State Medical Council (SMC) is compulsory and its documentary proof should be produced by NEET-PG aspirants on the examination day, at the time of counseling and admission.

1- Every student who is selected for admission in a Post Graduate medical course from any of the medical institutions on acquiring an MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification shall have attained permanent registration with the MCI or any of the SMC. Additionally, they have to obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission. In case if it fails, his/her admission shall be canceled.

2- In the case of Foreign National Eligibility, the Medical Council of India makes payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the course duration for the Post Graduate. Therefore, this is limited to the medical college/ institution to which he/she is admitted for doing full-time postgraduate studies.

3- Later, after the temporary registration to those Foreign Nationals, they shall be enquired to conditions that check their registration (appropriate registering authority in his/her own country) credibility. Also, the candidate will be scrutinized by the authority regarding his/her MBBS Qualification's credibility.
