About:

GMERS Medical College Sola established under the Gujarat Medical Education & Research Society, Ahmedabad is affiliated to Gujarat University. It is recognized by Government of India and the Medical Council of India to admit 150 students. GMERS Medical College Sola, Ahmedabad was inaugurated by the Honorable Health Minister of Gujarat in 2009. The attached Civil Hospital Sola was inaugurated in 1986 and started providing general medical care with postpartum services. Over the period hospital gradually got sanctioned into different specialties. The hospital plan is basically made up of 5 blocks. In 1986 only Block A was started; B block and E block came up later. In 2009 the hospital had 56 sanctioned beds and now it is having 720 beds along with other critical care beds. Overall beds can be increased up to 900 based on the current infrastructure.
