Smt. B. K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre, is a constituent college of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth An Institution Deemed to be University, under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956, At & Po Piparia, Ta Waghodia, Dist Vadodara, Gujarat -391760. Main Campus area is around 65 Acres. The College is situated in rural area. Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre was granted permission by Medical Council of India & Government of India on 30th September 2003 with intake capacity of 150 Medical Students. At the time of inception the college was affiliated to Gujarat University. On 17th January 2007 Deemed University status was awarded to the University U/S 3 of UGC act of 1956. After that Smt. B. K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre is one of the constituent of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth. The M.B.B.S Degree was recognized in 30/06/ 2008. The Medical Council of India had conducted inspection in various subjects, during September 2008 to February 2009 following which The Government of India gave permission to start Post Graduate courses in 69 Post Graduate degree in 20 subjects and 25 Post Graduate Diploma seats were permitted .First batch of Post Graduate student at Smt. B. K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre were admitted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth on the basis of All India Entrance Test conducted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth.
