Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan was established in 1969 by the University of Burdwan under the style Burdwan University Medical College. It was taken over by the Government of West Bengal in 1976 and renamed as Burdwan Medical College. The college is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The courses offered by the college are recognized by MCI.
