NEET PG 2021 Eligibility:
Candidates who fail to clear the defined criteria will not be getting the admission to the post-graduate course. If at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided wrong information, admission of such candidate will be cancelled.
NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates who possess MBBS degree or a certificate which declares the candidate has the provisional MBBS degree can apply for the NEET PG. The certificate or the MBBS degree must be recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- Along with the degree or certificate, the candidate must possess 1 year of experience certificate. The candidate can apply for the NEET PG 2021. The candidates have completed one
year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 30th June 2021 are eligible to apply. - NEET PG eligibility criteria define that the candidates who have cleared the MBBS degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir will not be getting seats under the All India Quota. The candidates who have been allotted government medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are eligible for the All India 50% Quota.
- The candidates must provide the duly signed affidavit stating that the candidate got to the college through the centralized counselling, along with the print out of the acknowledgement of submission of the NEET PG Application Form. The submission has to be done by the candidates who have done the MBBS degree from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.
- The declaration must reach the office. The submission of the declaration has to be done at the office of the Deputy Director (Examination):

- The candidates must be sure themselves about NEET eligibility and if found at any stage later that the candidate is ineligible, such candidate’s candidature is canceled. The candidates who have cleared the exam and have been allocated seat through NEET PG 2021 Counseling can also be asked to leave the seat under the rule.
- There are no exceptions to the eligibility guidelines and thus the candidates are requested to apply only if they have valid degrees and have completed the internship.
- Merely completing NEET PG registration process does not confer any applicant for the seat for the PG program. The candidates have to clear the exam and appear for NEET PG 2021 Counselling wherein a seat will be allocated.
- The internship certificate must be submitted under NEET PG eligibility rule must define clearly the starting date and the last date of the Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship program. The certificate of the internship must be submitted in original.
- The colleges that received recognition after the MCI Cutoff date are considered invalid.
- The registration of the applicant is necessary with the M.C.I/ State Medical council. The documentary proof of the same must be furnished by the candidate on the day of examination and at the time of counseling/admission.
As per the eligibility rule defined by some Universities/ Institutes, candidates who are pursuing the PG degree from their college or any other college or university cannot apply for the PG program again in their college. The candidate can thus be refused for NEET PG admission. The NBE/MCC/MoHFW shall not be responsible for admission cancellation for such students.
The candidates can go through the registration process only once.
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates
1- Indian citizens or Overseas Indian Citizens who have attained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Colleges of Medicine outside India should have cleared the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
2- Further, they should register themselves with MCI/SMC and should have completed their internship. For all the Foreign Medical Graduates, NBE will issue the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Pass Certificate, which all the candidates should carry on the day of examination.
3- Dates indicated by candidates in the NEET PG application form about the 12 month-Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship shall be considered to be in the concluding stage. Moreover, at the time of admission in the allotted Medical College/Institute, all these candidates need to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate.
Note: For the 12 month-Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship, candidates have to mention internship starting date and completion date.
Eligibility for Foreign Nationals
1- As per the new eligibility criteria of NEET PG, it is not compulsory for foreign nationals to possess the provisional MCI registration certificate at the time of NEET-PG examination.
2- The foreign nationals candidates can write the exams without MCI registration certificate.
3- The temporary registration will be issued with a condition that such aspirants must be duly registered with the competent registering authority of their own country from the place he/she got her basic degree.
Registration of NEET: Registration and/or appearance in NEET-PG 2021 do not grant any automatic rights to a candidate for admission into a medical Institute for MS/MD or Course of PG Diploma.
Date of NEET Internship: It is compulsory for all candidates to do an internship. They must also have permanent registration from MCI (Medical Counselling of India) or from the respective State Medical Council (SMC).
NEET 2021 Cutoff: NEET-PG cutoff release dates for the validation of the Medical Colleges, from the same college or university the candidates have passed their MBBS Degree. It is required to complete their rotatory Internship for the year 2021 will be as assigned by MCI. The Colleges recognized after the date of cutoff release by the MCI will not be entertained.
1- NEET PG 2021 Cutoff (out of 100) will be category wise, the General category aspirants should score a minimum of 50, 40 for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 45 for Persons with disabilities (PWD) class.
2- The NEET PG 2021 Cutoff (out of 1200) will be category wise, the General category students should score a minimum 321, 281 for the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 300 for the Person with disabilities (PWD) class.
Medical State Council: Registration with Medical Counselling of India (M.C.I)/State Medical Council (SMC) is compulsory and its documentary proof should be produced by NEET-PG aspirants on the examination day, at the time of counseling and admission.
1- Every student who is selected for admission in a Post Graduate medical course from any of the medical institutions on acquiring an MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification shall have attained permanent registration with the MCI or any of the SMC. Additionally, they have to obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission. In case if it fails, his/her admission shall be canceled.
2- In the case of Foreign National Eligibility, the Medical Council of India makes payment of the prescribed fee for registration, grant temporary registration for the course duration for the Post Graduate. Therefore, this is limited to the medical college/ institution to which he/she is admitted for doing full-time postgraduate studies.
3- Later, after the temporary registration to those Foreign Nationals, they shall be enquired to conditions that check their registration (appropriate registering authority in his/her own country) credibility. Also, the candidate will be scrutinized by the authority regarding his/her MBBS Qualification's credibility.
