There are multiple choices you can do private practice or join a hospital or prepare for pg entrance , one yr internship mandatory postings in all the departments. Medicine, surgery, pediatrics & obstetrics and gynaecology being focal for new MBBS doctors.

For first years, its a separte hostel. A total of 4 floors, in one wing of a 6 storey building, is specifically reserved for the new comers. It's complitely isolated from the seniors. (Officially only! Unofficially it's something else.)The rooms are big enough with beds, tables, chairs and racks. Each room will have 3 occupants. It's spacious and well ventilated. Apart from that, each floor has two water coolers, two reading rooms, two washing and drying rooms (no washing machines though), 2 washrooms with 6 basins, toilets and bathrooms each. It's a new hostel.After the first year, there are plenty of options. All of which are pretty amusing. You'll have to vacate the isolated hostel for the next batch and will have to somehow secure another room in any of the other hostels. This process is interesting. You'll understand when you join SCB.
