Sardar Patel Medical College

Sardar Patel Medical College, previously known as Bikaner Medical College, is located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The medical college was founded by former Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, in 1959. The college has a distinction of being the second medical college of the state. Over the decades, the college has earned the reputation of being the centre for excellence in the field. SP Medical College is affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health and Sciences, Jaipur. The medical courses offered by it are recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI).   In 50 years of its existence, Sardar Patel Medical College Bikaner has given some of the best doctors to the nation. The medical college is associated with numerous hospitals, to provide updated knowledge in the field. The college offers education in the field of medical science, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college opened the first Coronary Care Unit of the state.
