The trust started Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Tamaka, Kolar in the year 1986. Through this college, the trust sought to make a significant contribution to Medical Education, Research and Health Care to the Rural population. The College is situated in Tamaka village (abutting National Highway No.4), 5 K.M. from Kolar Town, Karnataka. Kolar is well connected by road, rail, and air due to its proximity to Bengaluru, which is 75 K.M away. The nearest Railway Junction, Bangarpet is 15 K.M away from Kolar. The trust in its stride for the attainment of quality in education and health care services to its stakeholders has obtained Accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC, INDIA) and certification by ISO 9001-2000 in the year 2006 for its Medical College. Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College is one of the few colleges in India to have achieved this remarkable feat.
