For aspirants who are waiting for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 update, here are the details. National Testing Agency has confirmed that there are no multiple attempts for this medical entrance examination. Aspirants have to appear once a year in offline exams.
Previously the Education Minister has hinted about an increase of attempts in the entrance exam.
The exam date is soon to be declared on its official website. The exam will be held in pen and paper mode. The exam pattern for this entrance will remain the same. The syllabus has also not changed for medical aspirants. "There is no point in changing the exam pattern at the last minute," said Vineet Joshi, NTA DG.
Last year in 2020, admission to MBBS courses is done through NEET in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). Five extra seats are reserved for children of Kashmiri migrants and Kashmiri Pandits or Hindu families in college admissions. Aspirants will get relaxation in cut-off up to 10 percent. For each course, 5 percent seat will be increased.
