Q: When should I start my MET preparation?
A: The syllabus is similar to 10+2 Board/University syllabus, so the candidate easily prepares for the exam alongside preparation for their 10+2 exams, starting in Class XI.
Q: How much of class XI and XII syllabus comes in MET? Are there any important specific topics from each?
A: There is no clarity on how much marks will be asked from Class XI and XII syllabus, so it is advisable that candidates don’t ignore any topic.
Q: I am unable to prepare for MET separately? Should I prepare for only JEE MAIN & Class 12?
A: Even if the candidate is not able to prepare for MET 2021 separately, it shouldn’t be a concern. It is because questions asked in the exam are at par with most Class 12 syllabi. Also, JEE Main is a much more advanced exam, and preparing for it will automatically take care of most topics asked in MET.
Q: Which are the important topics for Maths, Physics, and Chemistry for MET?
A: If you go weight wise, Mathematics is the most important subject as it contains 70 questions. Physics and Chemistry each will have 50 questions are of equal weight. Also, the exam conducting body hasn’t disclosed anything on important topics. So, the candidate is recommended not to neglect any topic.
Q: What are the marking scheme in MET?
A: For each correct answer 1 mark will be added, only for ME & M. Tech there are 4 marks for each correct answer. No negative marking for the incorrect answer except ME & M. Tech.
Q: What are the documents required at the time of counselling?
A: These are the documents required-

Q: How can I pay the application fee through DD?
A: You can pay the application fee in favor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, payable at Manipal, Udupi through DD.
Q: Is there any age limit to apply for MET?
A: No, there is no such age limit to apply for MET.
Q: What are the sections in the Physics syllabus?
A: The syllabus of MET consists of 5 sections that are-
- Mechanics
- Heat and Thermodynamics
- Electrostatics and Magnetism
- Current Electricity and Electromagnetism
- Optics and Modern Physics
Q: Is there any extra charge for the outsiders of India while giving the exam?
A: Yes, the candidates who give the exam in foreign centers need to pay additional fee at the time of taking the test at the test center.
Q: What is the application fee for the foreign candidates or the NRIs?
A: Foreign /International/ NRI / NRI Sponsored category candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 2500/-.
Q: What is the minimum marks required to be qualified in MET?
A: It is necessary for the candidates to score a minimum of 50% marks in MET to be qualified for admission.
Q: What is the eligibility criteria for BBA course?
A: Candidates have to pass 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Q: Who issued the answer key?
A: The answer key is issued by the exam conducting authorities instead of the authorities of the university. So the candidates will be able to download the detail from the official website.
