Telengana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released an official notice about the second and final round fo counselling process for Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET 2020) for admissions into various postgraduate engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses.
The counselling process will be held via online mode. The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their preferences, category and seat availability. After this second round counselling process, a list of eligible candidates will be released on 26th December 2020. Then a final merit list will be released on 30th December 2020 on the official website of TSPGECET .
The candidates who have qualified in the national level entrance, GATE 2018, 2019 or 2020 & in the TS PGECET 2020 are eligible to participate in the counselling registrations. All the candidates belonging to general category need to pay a non-refundable amount of of Rs. 1200 for the registration, where the candidates belonging to SC/St category, need to pay a registration fee of Rs 600.
Osmania University was the conducting body of the TS PGECET on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2020 was held in between 21st September 2020 to 24th September 2020.

Detail Procedure of TS PGECET Counselling 2020
The candidates must have cleared the entrance exams with valid score to participate in the counselling of TS PGECET 2020. There will be two separate counselling process both for GATE and TS PGECET qualified candidates.
- All the candidates must fulfill the following eligibility to tale part in TS PGECET Counselling-
- The nationality of all the candidates must be Indian.
- Candidates should be a resident of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates must have satisfied the local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission.
- Candidates from general category should have secured at least 50% marks and the candidate from SC/ST category must have secured a minimum of 45% in the qualifying exam.
For TS PGECET Qualified candidate:
Step 1 - Registration and Verification of Documents: The selected candidates need to report to the allotted help centers and get themselves registered for the counselling process by filling out basic details. Counselling fees which has to be submitted by the candidates via online. The fees for candidates from general category is rs 1200 and the same for the reserve category is Rs. 600.
Here is the documents that have to be submitted for verification:
- Score card along with the hall tickets of TS PGECET 2020
- Mark sheets and certificates of qualifying examination.
- Certificates and marksheets of class 10th and class 12th.
- Copy of Aadhaar card.
- Copy Domicile/residential certificate
- Income certificate, which is issued after January 1, 2020.
- Cast certificate (if applicable)
Step 2 - Filling of Choices: Candidates will be needing to log in using their TS PGECET 2020 hall ticket number and rank. Then they have to fill the choices on the basis of preference.
Step 3 - Seat Allotment: Then the candidates will be able to access the seat allotment result in online mode. This is the provisional allotment letter and it has to be downloaded for future reference
For GATE qualified candidates:
Step 1 - Registration and Fee Payment: The candidates have to register themselves on the registration portal and pay the required counselling fee. Then the Candidates will have to complete the registration process on thei allotted help centers. At the time of registration you must enter your Email address and mobile number. The counselling fee for the candidates belonging to general category is Rs. 600 and the candidates belonging to SC/ST need to pay an amount of Rs. 300 in online mode.
Step 2 - Filling of Application Form: Then, the candidates must fill their personal, academic and contact details along with a scanned copy of recent colour passport size photograph and with GATE/GPAT hall ticket
Step 3 - Verification of Documents: Then the registered candidates will have to upload the scanned images of documents online for the verification process. However, the candidates with Special category certificates will have to report for their physical verification.
If any seat remains vacant, then another round of seat allotment will be notified in the official website.
