JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Pattern:
The examination pattern of JEE Advanced is different from the JEE Mains exam where apart from single correct multiple-choice questions other different types of questions such as numerical based questions are asked. On the other hand, the questions asked in IIT JEE exams are mostly based on the concepts discussed in class 11 and 12 Maths, Physics and Chemistry syllabus.

- The JEE Advanced exam is an online test that is computer-based and is conducted in two sessions.
- The exam will consist of 2 papers as Paper 1 and Paper 2 of 3 hours duration each and the total marks allocated is 342 marks.
- Each question paper will consist of 3 separate sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- The question papers will consist of objective type (multiple choice and/or numerical answer type) questions designed to test the academic, comprehensive, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
- The language of question papers will be in English and Hindi.

JEE Advanced Paper 1
- Section 1: Six MCQs (Multiple Choice Question) type questions carrying 4 marks each.
- Section 2: Six Numerical Value type questions carrying 4 marks each.
- Section 3: Six Single Correct multiple choice questions carrying 3 marks each.
JEE Advanced Paper 2
- Section 1: Six MCQs (Multiple Choice Question) type questions carrying 4 marks each.
- Section 2: Six Numerical Value type questions carrying 4 marks each.
- Section 3: Six Single digit integer answertype questions carrying 3 marks each.
