The authorities that conduct JEE advanced has decided and clarified that there will be no changes in the JEE Main syllabus this year. The advance exam is conducted for admission in undergraduate programs like B-tech and integrated programs at 23 IITs.
Previously the syllabus was decided to be reduced at a meeting organized by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The meeting was scheduled for Friday, July 17. The JEE advanced 2020 is being organized by IIT Delhi and is scheduled to be held on Sept 27. Keeping in view the pandemic situation V Ramagopal Rao Director, IIT Delhi specified that the social distancing and other safety norms will be taken care of closely. When asked about the cancellation of the Exam, it's a no from his reply.
The IIT Delhi said, “In reference to a news report published in the media that JEE (Advanced) 2020 could see some changes in the examination pattern, IIT Delhi, the organising institute, would like to clarify that there are no plans to change the syllabus of the entrance examination. There is also no plan to discuss this matter in the next JAB meeting.”
