IIT Ropar

IIT Ropar is successful in every placement it has organized for the students in its campus. The highest package that has been offered to a student in the last year is close to Rs. 17 LPA. Companies and organizations like ISRO, DRDO, Indian Navy, Hindustan Petroleum, Indian oil, Coal Indian and many others are proud to hire the best brains of IIT Ropar to their companies. The aim of the placement cell now is to make sure that every applying student gets a job. They are trying to bring more and more companies to the college so that the students get a wider range of options to choose from. 

Hostel

IIT Ropar has four hostels, out of which three are for boys and one is for girls. The hostels are named after various planets of our solar system. Every hostel is provided with water cooler and RO systems. The other facilities like nutritious food, water supply and electricity are also provided. The hygiene of the hostel students is always maintained by the students as well as the staff members of the hostels. The students must follow the hostel rules very strictly. 

Labs

IIT Ropar has several labs that are used for the courses of engineering and science. These labs are often used by the faculty members to take classes. 

Library

The central library of IIT Ropar functions as a center of knowledge for all students and faculty members. The library not only has textbooks, but books of other subjects and journals too. There are more than 20000 books and many journals, including E-journals. The students are given these books to read that otherwise they have to buy from the internet with a lot of money. The library of IIT Ropar also provides extensive research services like citation analysis, reference management tools and many more.
