The official exam date for JEE Advanced has been announced on its official website which is May 17, 2020. The JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-Delhi). The dates for registration and admit card availability is yet to be announced. The conducting board has decided to shortlist 2.5 lakh candidates (from all categories) from JEE Main to appear the JEE Advanced 2020.

A meeting was held on September 15th, 2019, where a decision was made to conduct JEE Advanced first time in the US with San Fransisco as its centre. According to the director of the IIT Delhi, Prof V Ramgopal Rao “JEE exam is now conducted in five countries worldwide and we have added the USA to this list. US has benefitted significantly by the presence of a large number of IIT alumni there and there is considerable awareness in the US about IITs."
Apart from India, JEE Advanced was conducted in the following places:
- Dubai (UAE)
- Dhaka (Bangladesh)
- Addis Ababa (Ethiopia)
- Kathmandu (Nepal)
- Colombo (Sri Lanka)
But from recent sources, it has been decided that JEE Advanced in cities of Ethiopia and Sri Lanka will be withdrawn due to lack of participating candidates.
