NATA 2022 Exam Pattern:
The exam pattern is published along with the examination brochure on the official website of the conducting body i.e. Council of Architecture. Exam pattern provides information of different parameters of the examination like the subjects, the total number of questions to be asked, total marks, subject wise mark distribution etc. It's very important for the students to have sound knowledge of the exam pattern so as to have proper information regarding the exam pattern. NATA 2022 Exam Pattern for Mathematics & General Aptitude Test
- Only one option will be correct
- Every correct response will yield 1.5 marks
- There is no negative marking, but wrong answering will be penalized in case of tie-breaking
NATA 2022 Exam Pattern for Drawing Test:
Given below are the aspects on which this is judged:
- Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in a visually appealing manner
- Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings
- Sense of perspective drawing
- Combining and composing given three-dimensional elements to form a building or structural form
- Creating interesting two-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms
- Creating visual harmony using colours in a given composition
- Understanding of scale and proportions
- Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences
NATA 2022 Scoring process
The answer to each question in the 'drawing' paper will be examined by a panel of three examiners independently and the marks are averaged. It may be further subject to moderation.
The marking of questions on this section is based on the statistical properties of the questions, the examinee's performance on the questions, and the number of questions that are answered. The primary emphasis in scoring the drawing section is on the candidate's drawing, imagination and observation skills. The candidate’s sense of proportion & perspective is also evaluated together with sense for colour and composition.
Tie-breaking rules for overall NATA score
A unified merit list of candidates will be published for NATA 2022. If more than one candidate gets the same overall marks, tie breaking logic would be applied in the following order:
- More overall marks obtained in Mathematics test component
- Less wrong answers in attempted ones of Mathematics test component
- More overall marks in problems of the Aptitude test component
- Less wrong answers in attempted ones of the Aptitude test component
- Earlier date of birth
