B.L.D.E.A. Vachana Pitamaha Dr. P. G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology, Bijapur was established in 1980 under Bijapur Liberal District Education Association. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by Government of Karnataka. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.  The vision of the college is to be a trend setting Institution in technical education and research, providing highly competent, efficient manpower to meet the ever-changing needs of the country, industry and the society. The mission of the college is to be an ideal institution providing quality technical education and training to students in tune with the evolving challenges and social needs through a flexible and innovative learning process, enabling the students to excel in their professions and careers with a high degree of integrity and ethical standards.
