SLAT is a law entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University (Deemed) for admission into 5 years integrated law courses at 4 Symbiosis Law Schools. SLAT is a university-level exam that was conducted in the internet-based online proctored mode for the year 2021.

SLAT 2021 Schedule

SLAT 2021 will be conducted in internet-based online proctored. Students must know about the exam dates that have been declared officially. Here are the schedule announced by Symbiosis International University:

SLAT 2021 Admit Card

Symbiosis International University (SIU) issues the SLAT admit card to those students who have completed the slot booking process. The admit card will be available online from 14th June 2021 to 27th June 2021. Candidates can download their admit card by providing their exam ID and Password. The admit card will contain details about the exam date, centre, instructions, etc. Candidates need to carry the admit card, photos, and required documents with them to the exam hall.
For internet-based online proctored test mode, the proctor will check the admit card through the Internet mode test application.
Steps to Download the Admit Card:

  • Go to the official website of SLAT
  • Click on "Admit Card for SLAT"
  • Provide your SET ID and Password
  • The admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a few printouts for future use

Details present in SLAT Admit Card:

  • Candidate's name, registration number
  • Candidate's signature, admission category
  • Exam schedule for the booked slot 
  • Exam day run check details
  • Exam day instructions

Exam Day Instructions:

  • The admit card should be a colour print out and must be carried with to the exam hall along with valid photo ID such as Adhaar Card, Voter Id card, Driving Licence, Etc.
  • Candidates should reach one hour before the allotted time to avoid any hassle
  • Candidate must attach a recent photo in the admit card
  • No extra time will be provided to complete the exam
  • Candidates should avoid carrying items like - Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in calculators/ memory or any electronic or smart devices 
  • Candidates belonging to the Differently-abled category and needing a Scribe/ Writer for taking the exam should arrange one for themselves. The Scribe// Writer should not be qualified above matriculation/ class 10th.

SLAT 2021 Exam Pattern

Symbiosis International University (SIU) has brought many changes in the exam pattern of SLAT 2021. The SLAT 2021 exam will be now conducted in an online remote-proctored test mode. The total questions have been reduced from 150 to 75. The duration of the exam is also reduced from 2.5 hours to 105 minutes. However, the marking scheme remains unchanged.
Note: SIU has also introduced a new type of section, WAT (Writing Ability Test), which will have subjective type questions.

SLAT 2021 Cut-Off

Symbiosis International University (SIU) will release the SLAT 2021 cut-off during the time of the counseling process in online mode. All 4 participating Symbiosis Law School (SLS) will have different cut-offs. The cut-off will be the last rank of the candidate selected for the admissions, thus candidates coming under the cut-off rank will be given admissions to different law programs. SLAT 2021 Application Form

Candidates can apply for SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) in online mode through three steps. However, candidates can make the payment in both online and offline mode. Candidates need to go through SLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria before applying.

Step 1. Registration

  • Go to the official website of Symbiosis International University (SIU)
  • Click on "Register Now"
  • Then click on "New Registration"
  • Provide necessary details such as Name, Gender, DOB, etc.
  • Provide your academic details of 10th and 12th
  • Select exam name i.e. SLAT
  • Select test city (Maximum three)
  • Click on "Register"

Step 2. Application Form:

  • After registration, your SLAT ID and Password will be generated and will be sent to your registered e-mail
  • Log in by using the ID and password
  • Fill all necessary personal, professional, educational, and contact details asked
  • Upload recent photograph and signature in mentioned format and size

Step 3. Payment:

Online Payment:

  • Choose the mode of payment from "make my payment" tab
  • Pay the application fee of Rs. 1750/- through credit/debit card/net banking

Offline Payment:

  • Choose Demand Draft (DD) from the "make my payment" tab
  • Fill the application form and take a print out of it
  • Send the application form along with a DD of Rs 1950/- to the following address:

SLAT 2021 Counselling Process

Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducts the counseling process of the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) after the results are declared. The counselling is done for admission into BA LLB and BBA LLB courses at all 4 Symbiosis Law School (SLS) present in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. The counselling process consists of 4 steps:

  • Registration
  • Personal Interview (PI)
  • Writing Ability Test (WAT)
  • Document verification

Registration:

  • Candidates clearing the cut-off of SLAT will have to go to the official website of check the slot booking for PI and WAT rounds
  • Register yourself in the online mode and select the date and time for PI and WAT
  • Select your preferred college and courses
  • Submit the form with required fee and upload necessary documents
  • After registration, download the admit card for PI and WAT

Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT):

Candidates have to appear PI and WAT rounds which will be based on general awareness, legal knowledge, and other relevant topics. The mark weightage of PI and WAT are given below:

  • Original admit card with the photocopy of the same.

  • Bachelor’s degree/ provisional certificate if the candidate is appearing.
  • Caste certificate SC/ST/OBC signed by the authorized authority.
  • Medical certificates mentioned in the SLAT Application form.
  • 4-6 passport-size photograph

SLAT 2021 Result

Symbiosis International University (SIU) will release the result of SLAT 2021 on 8th July in online mode. Candidates who appeared the SLAT 2021 exam can see their result by providing their SLAT exam ID and Password.

  • Go to the official website of SLAT 2021
  • Click on "Download Scorecard" tab
  • Provide your SLAT ID and Password
  • The result will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a print out of the scorecard

SLAT 2021 Answer Key

Symbiosis International University (SIU)  will release the SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) answer key soon after the exam is conducted. The answer key contains the correct answer of all the questions answered in the exam. With the help of the answer key candidates predict their result and the approximate total marks they are going to secure by cross-checking their responses to those in the answer key.

  • Go to the official website of SLAT
  • Click on "SLAT Answer Key"
  • Select the exam 
  • The answer key will appear in PDF format
  • Download and save the answer key for future reference

SLAT Score Calculator:

  • The total no. of questions in SLAT is 75 (MCQs)
  • Each question carry one mark, so the maximum mark is 75
  • There is no negative marking
  • So total mark is = No. of correct answers

SLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are interested in SLAT 2021 (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria are the same for all the four participating Symbiosis Law School (SLS). 

Qualification:

  • The candidate should have passed 10th and +2 from any recognized Board.
  • The candidate must have score a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates).
  • Candidates awaiting their 12th results are also eligible given that they must provide their certificate during the admission process.

Age Limit:

  • There is no upper age limit set for SLAT 2021.

Note: It is suggested that candidates who have studied Arts/Social Sciences subjects for their qualifying examination may apply for B.A. LL.B (Hons.) program. And those who have studied Commerce/Accounts/Mathematics/Sciences may apply for BB.A LL.B (Hons.) program.
