The consortium has sent five times more than the number of seats that are available in both the category.

The registration process for the counseling is open from 6th October till 6 pm on 7th October.

How to Register for CLAT counseling 2020

  • The first step is to check whether your name is on the invite list. If your name is present, go ahead and register.
  • For registration, log in to your CLAT account and then complete the registration. The registration process will be completed in two steps. First, you have to update the NLU preference of the candidate. And the second is they need to pay Rs 50,000 as the counseling fee.

CLAT Seat Allotment Process

The allotment of the seats will be done on the basis of the NLU preference entered during the registration of counseling and also on the basis of the CLAT merit rank.

After the allotment is done, the candidate will have three options:

  • they can accept the seat allotted to them
  • they can opt to upgrade
  • they can exit from the process of admission

You will have to upload all the relevant documents if you want to upgrade or accept the seat allotted to you. You also have to pay the fee to the NLU that the candidate has been allotted to. This fee is equal to the first semester fees. This is done after they deduct the counseling amount.

The consortium has decided to release three allotment lists. The second list will be available on 11th October and the third will be available on 14th October.
