UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (ULSAT) is conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun.

ULSAT 2021 Admit Card

The admit card for ULSAT 2021 will be released during 1st week of May 2021 on the official website.

Steps to download the admit card:

  • Go to the official website of UPES
  • Click on the "ULSAT 2021 Admit Card" link
  • Enter application number and date of birth/email ID and click on the ‘Submit’ button
  • The admit card will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a print out of the admit card

ULSAT 2021 Syllabus

The syllabus will consist of topics from Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude which will be of 10+2 level for undergraduates.
  • Language Comprehension: Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Synonyms, One-word substitution, Spellings, Idioms, Phrases, Figures of speech, Legal terms.
  • Quantitative & Numerical Ability: Mental Ability and Logical/Mathematical Analysis, Analogy, Deductive Reasoning, Odd-Even Discretion, Series, Blood Relations, Agreement, and Disagreement.
  • Legal General Knowledge & Legal Aptitude: Torts, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Law of Crimes, Contracts and Constitutional Law, International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Legal Awareness covering Constitutional Law and Polity.

ULSAT 2021 Exam Pattern

  • Exam duration: 3 hours
  • Mode of exam: Online
  • Type of questions: Objective type, multiple-choice questions
  • Number of questions: 200
  • Total marks: 200
  • Marking scheme: For each right answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.

ULSAT 2021 Cut-Off

The cut-off of ULSAT is announced once the result is declared. The ULSAT cut-off lists the minimum marks that candidates must secure to get shortlisted for the counseling rounds. The cut-off is different for each counseling round.
There are various factors that affect the cut-off of ULSAT, which are:

  • Number of candidates appeared for the exam
  • Number of seats present
  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • Previous year cut-off

ULSAT 2021 Application Form

The application form for ULSAT 2021 will release on the official website of UPES.

Steps to apply:

Registration:

  • Go to the official website of UPES and click on "Apply now"
  • Click on "Register now" and enter the personal details required
  • After providing all the details, click on the submit button
  • Your log in credentials will be sent to your email id

Application form:

  • Login using the credentials you got in your email
  • Enter personal details, academic details, and other areas necessary
  • Upload photo and signature with size and specifications mentioned
  • Make payment through debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ e-challan
  • Re-check all the details and then click on the submit button

Application Fee:

  • Candidates can pay the application fee using both online and offline modes.
  • Fee through online mode – Students will have to pay Rs 1850 as the application fee using the Debit/Credit card.

ULSAT 2021 Counseling

The counseling or ULSAT 2021 will be conducted during the month of June- July 2021. The counseling process will include Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and document verification. Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling by the university.

Documents required during counseling:

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Marksheet of class 10th and 12th
  • Pass certificate of class 10th and 12th
  • Migration certificate
  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID card, passport or school ID card)
  • Recent passport size photographs

ULSAT 2021 Result

The UPES university will declare the result for ULSAT on its official website. Candidates can check their results by entering the required login credentials. The scorecard will not be sent to the candidates through courier or any other mode.

Steps to check the result:

  • Go to the official website of UPES 
  • Click on the link ‘ULSAT result’ on the home
  • Enter application form number and registered mobile number
  • The scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download the scorecard and take its printout

ULSAT 2021 Answer Key

The answer key of ULSAT will be released soon after the exam is conducted. The answer key will contain the answers to all the questions asked in the exam. Candidates can compare their attempted questions to the answers present in the answer key and have a brief idea about their results.  If there are any issues with the answer, then it can be reported to the authorities. After all consideration, a revised final answer key will be released by the authorities after a few days.

ULSAT 2021 Eligibility

  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the 10+2 exam
  • Candidates with minimum 80% marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th) main five subjects (English as one of the compulsory subjects) are exempted from ULSAT and will be invited directly for Group Discussion and Interview.
