IIMC 2021 Exam Pattern:

There is no specific exam pattern for the IIMC 2021 entrance exam. However, the candidates need to focus on some topics to be eligible for the exam. These are General Awareness, Aptitude and Mental Makeup, Analytical & Comprehension Skills, Brand Awareness and recall, Lateral thinking capabilities, etc. The exam will be continued for 120 mins.

IIMC (The Indian Institute of Mass Communication) will be conducting the IIMC Entrance Exam 2021. This test is to select candidates for admission to around 184 seats across 6 institutes for all post-graduation programs. The application form can be submitted by both online and offline medium with the fee of INR 1200.

The exam pattern for IIMC entrance constitutes a written exam followed by a personal interview/ group discussion round. The written exam holds 85% marks weightage whereas the personal interview/ group discussion holds 15% marks weightage.

Candidates must note that there will be a common entrance examination for admission to Hindi and English journalism courses at IIMC. Apart from this, there will be separate entrance exams for admissions to courses like Radio and TV journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, and Journalism (Odia) at IIMC.

IIMC 2021 is a pen-based written test consisting of questions on general awareness, aptitude, and language. The medium of the exam depends on the course opted by the candidate. PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi) will have its question paper in Hindi and similar is the case for English and Oriya.

Question Pattern – The selection of students will be based on written examination. There will be a common entrance exam and question paper for journalism in English and Hindi. There will be separate exams for Radio and TV journalism similarly separate exams for Advertising & Public Relations and Journalism (Odiya) will be held.

The duration of each exam is 3 hours

The candidates who clear this exam will be called for group discussion and a personal interview. The performance of the candidate in both PI and GD will account for the final admission. The Interview Rounds will be conducted at Delhi and Dhenkanal (Odisha) campuses. The details of the Interview will be mentioned in the result and the call letter will be available online and will be shared via post. The weight-age division between the written exam and GD/PI is 85:15.
