GRE Admit Card
After the candidates successfully fill the form of the GRE test, they will receive a confirmation mail regarding the registration. The admit card will be released and can be downloaded on the official website of https://www.ets.org/gre. Students will also receive an email regarding their GRE admit card in their mail. With the admit card, candidates must carry a valid ID proof on the day of the examination, preferably your passport.
GRE 2021 test results:
ETS will send the test score cards to the universities directly which has been selected by the test takers.
The applicants can select up to 4 universities for free and pay for every university after that. As discussed earlier the GRE tests reports will be processed immediately after the exam and sent to the recipients 10-15 days from the day of the test.

GRE Exam Eligibility
The only eligibility requirement for GRE is the document required to prove your identity. In India, you’ll need a valid passport. You’ll have to produce your original passport which clearly shows your full name, photograph, and signature. No other documentation (like birth certificate, international driving license, etc) can be used as an alternate identity proof. They are very strict about this.
Apart from this eligibility requirement, ETS does not set any age, qualification, timing-related pre-requisites. However, there will be a range of eligibility criteria set by universities that accept GRE scores. For each of their programs, they may have a minimum age, experience, and qualification related filters.
Who can take the GRE Test?
- Candidates seeking admission to graduate and business schools from across the globe can appear for GRE General Test.
- Applicants from different cultural and academic backgrounds take the test where GRE General Test provides a common platform for measuring the candidate’s aptitude.
- In Taiwan, Mainland China, Korea, and Hong Kong, online test is conducted once or twice every month. In the parts of the world where the online format is not available, the test is conducted in paper-pencil based format thrice a year in February, October, and November.

GRE General Test

Breaks: 10 min break after 3rd section
Unidentified unscored section: This section is not counted in the GRE final score. The purpose of this section is to test questions prepared for future GRE General Test. There is no way of identifying which section this is, so skipping this section is not an option for the candidates.
Identified Research Section: It not included in the GRE final score. The section might be included in the place of the unscored section. The research section would appear at the end of the test. The questions in this section are included for ETS Research Purposes
GRE scores and Cut-off
For the quantitative and verbal reasoning, the results are displayed on the website after the completion of the examination. The results for the analytical writing skills are released approximately after 10-15 days of the test. And for the GRE subject test results, it is declared around 5 weeks after the examination.
- The total scores of verbal and quantitative reasoning are calculated on a scale of 260-340 points.
- The analytical writing score is calculated separately on a point scale of 0-6 with 0.5 point increments.
- These scores are valid for a period of 5 years from the date of examination.
GRE test cut off:
There is no pre-defined cut-off for the GRE test set by ETS. The ETS has not set any particular score cut-offs. More than half-a-million students appear for the examination each year. The test is only conducted to check the verbal, analytical, and quantitative skills of a candidate.

Mail Registration

The form must be received at least three weeks before your choice of the earliest GRE test date. A confirmation number, reporting time and the test center address will be e-mailed to you.
Rescheduling Test Registration
- You can reschedule your test online
- You must reschedule your GRE General Test no later than four days (10 days in Mainland China) before your appointment or your test fee will be forfeited. For example, the deadline to reschedule a Saturday appointment at a testing location in the United States is Tuesday.
- You will be charged a fee of $50 for rescheduling your test registration.
- Appointments cannot be rescheduled beyond one year of the original appointment date.
Cancelation of Test registration
If you cancel your GRE General Test registration no later than four days prior to your test date (10 days for individuals in Mainland China), you will receive a refund equivalent to half of the original test fee

GRE Result 2021
- While taking the CBT GRE exam, after completion of the exam a raw score of the verbal and quant score will be displayed which you may or may not accept.
- When the scorecard is released, ETS sends a notification e-mail to the candidates regarding the publication.
- A copy of the GRE Scorecard is sent to candidates within 10-15 days within the commencement of the CBT exam. For the PBT exam, it may take up to 5 weeks.
- Additional GRE scorecard can be requested by paying an extra amount of $27 which will be delivered within 10 days.
- Candidates who are not satisfied with the score can opt for a review by paying an additional fee of $50.
