Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the application form for IBPS Clerk 2020 exam on 2nd September 2020 at its official website. Candidates can register the application till 23 September 2020. The prelims exam will be conducted on 5, 12, 13 December 2020. More than 1500 vacancies are present which will be filled through the IBPS Clerk 2020 Exam.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a Common Recruitment Process every year to select candidates for the clerical posts in 17 public sector banks. IBPS Clerk is conducted in two phases, preliminary and mains. Candidates qualifying both the exams are selected for the post. The exams are conducted in online mode and consist of multiple-choice questions.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk 2020 entrance exam pattern is such that candidates need to attempt 100 questions in 1 hour. The question paper will contain objective/multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and no subjective questions. Candidates are also advised to be careful while answering the questions are there will be negative marking for every question answered wrongly.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Cut-Off

The cut-off for IBPS Clerk is released along with the result within a few weeks of the commencement of the exam. Depending on the number of vacancies available state/ UT-wise, cutoffs are decided by IBPS and candidates are considered for provisional allotment in different participating banks.

Step 2. Photo, Signature & LTI:
Candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression. Specifications of the image are:

IBPS Clerk 2020 Counseling:

The selection procedure for IBPS Clerk consists of 3 phases:

  • Prelims Exam
  • Mains Exam
  • Document Verification

Prelims Exam:
The Preliminary Exam is the first stage or round of the Selection Process of IBPS Clerk. This stage consists of the online examination conducted by IBPS which judges the applicants on common grounds based on their knowledge and skills. The examination is an objective test with a time duration of one hour. The main subjects of this examination consist of English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.
After the completion of the Preliminary Exam, the results will be declared. Only the candidates who have successfully given the Prelims can check their IBPS Clerk result through their official website. A cut-off list will then be released with the list of the selected candidates eligible for the next stage of the Selection Process.

Mains Exam:
The second stage of the Selection Process is the Mains Examination. Candidates clearing the Prelims Cut-Off will be allowed to get their Mains exam admit card from the official website. The Mains Exam helps in refining the search for the best candidates for the different clerical cadre posts. The mains exam will be conducted in online mode for a duration of 2 hours 40 minutes. The main subjects consist of  Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness & Computer Knowledge.
Candidates who mark their place clear in this exam will be forwarded to the final round of the Selection Process which is Document Verification.

3. Document Verification:
After finding your name in the shortlisting candidates of mains examination, you will be called for the final process i.e. document verification round. The required documents that needed to be provided are:

  • Printout of Valid Calls Letter

  • Date of Birth Proof
  • Photo Identity Proof
  • Graduation Mark sheet
  • If Applied for reservation Caste Certificate

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicates the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. Also, the candidate must know working knowledge in computer systems.

Age Limit (As on 01.09.2019):
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1991 and no later than 01.09.1999 (both dates inclusive)

Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either:

  • A Citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
