Biotechnology Engineering, Eligibility, Recruiters, Job Prospects

Biotechnology Engineering is a branch of engineering which is the combination of biology, technology, and engineering. It teaches one to use living organisms/biological systems with engineering, medicine, technology, and other products for the benefit of human survival or living. The course includes subjects other than biology like physics, chemistry, mathematics, and topics like embryology, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, tissue culture, etc. Basically, it is a kind of research study done on the activities of living organisms combining it with other technologies. Discovering the cure for a certain disease, preventing crops from getting damaged using advanced methods- all this will be impossible without these people. It can be divided into two types- Core Biotechnology (BT) and Food Technology (FT). Biotechnology is also considered as the life science industry due to its need and importance in modern biological science, technology, and drugs.

Question:  Is biology necessary for biotechnology engineering?
Yes, biology is must for pursuing a Career in Biotechnology. You must take biology in 12th as a core subject along with physics and chemistry. Mathematics is optional for Biotechnology Engineering.

Question:  Is there a demand for biotechnology?
Biotechnology is a booming career. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has projected the most likely jobs to be in demand from 2014 to 2024, and many of them are big in the life science and biopharma industries.
