Every student has to choose the right college before they take admission into Aeronautical Engineering. The topmost colleges in India that provide the course for Aeronautical Engineering are:
- Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay: IIT Bombay has been established in 1958. It provides 2 years, 5year 3-year technical education for students who enter through Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced and GATE entrance exam.
- Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram: It was inaugurated in 2007 and set up by ISRO at Thiruvananthapuram Kerala. It offers engineering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programs with a focus on areas of space science, technology, and Space Application.
- Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dehradun: It was established in 1992 at Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It offers B.S/B.E in Aeronautical Engineering and Associate Degree Program in Aeronautical Engineering.
- Pune Institute of Aviation Technology: It was established in 2008 at Ambegaon (Budruk), Pune. It offers a B.Sc Aviation course.
- Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad: It was established in 2000 at Hyderabad. The Institute offers a B.Tech program in Aeronautical Engineering. Students can take admission through a valid scorecard of the GATE exam.
- Anna University: Anna University was established in 1978 in Chennai. UGC have accredited Anna University in 2002. It offers higher education in engineering, technology, and allied sciences in various fields.
- Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai: Sathyabama Engineering College was established in 1987. It is accredited by NAAC. It offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level programs. The admission is based on the performance in the All India Entrance Examination conducted by Sathyabama University.
