    The Graduate Aptitude Test in  Engineering (GATE) is going to be held in February 2020 by the Indian Institute of Delhi(IIT-Delhi). Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and 7 other Indian Institute of Technology (at Bombay, Kharagpur, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Madras, Roorkee) jointly conduct the GATE. But the GATE score is considered for admission by these institutions as well as the private colleges too.

     Time Schedule 

    • Forenoon- 2nd Feb 2020  - (9.30 AM to 12.30 PM )-(tentative)
    • Afternoon - 8th and 9th Feb 2020 - (2.30 PM to 5.30 PM) - ( tentative)
    • Announcement of result in the online portal - 16th Mar 2020

    GATE 2020 Exam

    GATE examine students in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Architecture/Technology and postgraduate subjects in science. There are 25 subjects in the examination category. The exam is conducted in various cities of India and in 6 foreign cities too. The validity of the GATE score is up to 3 years from the date of the announcement of results.

    Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2020

    Candidates with these qualifications can apply :

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 yrs after BSc/Diploma in Engineering/Technology) (final year students can also apply)
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (5yrs course)/Naval Architecture(4 yrs course) (final year students can also apply)
    • Bachelor degree in 4 yrs program in science (BSc) (Final year student can also apply)
    • Master's degree in any branch of science/Maths/Statistics/Computer Application (Final year student can also apply)
    • 4 yr Integrated master degree (post BSc) in Engineering/Technology (Final yr student can also apply)
    • 5 yr Integrated MSc or 5 yr integrated BSc/MSc dual degree (final year students can also apply)
    • 5 yr Integrated master degree or dual degree in Engineering/Technology(applicable for 4th/higher year students)
    • Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE as equivalent to BE/BTech can also apply. Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.
