BITSAT 2020 Day 5 Exam Analysis

BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) Pilani successfully concluded Day 5 of BITSAT 2020 (BITS Admission Test) on 22nd September. The exam was conducted in two slots i.e. Morning Shift from 9 AM - 12 PM and Afternoon Shift 2 PM - 5 PM. The overall difficulty level of both the slot was moderate to difficult. Mathematics was a bit tough, Chemistry was moderate, Physics was relatively easy, and English was moderate. BITSAT 2020 is being conducted from 16 - 18 September and 21 - 23 September 2020 at 58 exam centres across India and Dubai. The provisional answer key will be released as soon as the exam gets over.

Duration: 3 Hours

Marking scheme: +3 Marks for correct answers, -1 mark for wrong answers, 0 for unanswered questions

BITSAT Previous Year Cut-Offs

BITSAT 2020 Day 5 Analysis (22 September):

Physics:

  • It was relatively easy than previous dates according to most of the candidates
  • Questions were a bit lengthy but direct
  • Most of the questions were asked from Electrostatics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Work Power Energy.

Chemistry:

  • It was moderate to difficult this time.
  • Students found the Inorganic part difficult
  • Most of the questions were asked from Electrochemistry, D-Block & F-Block, Hydrocarbons, Biomolecules

Mathematics:

  • According to most of the candidates, Mathematics was difficult for today
  • Questions were tricky and lengthy
  • The larger part of the paper was from class 11th and 12th syllabus
  • Most of the questions came from Probability, Trigonometric, Permutations & Combinations, Limits & Differential Coefficient

English Proficiency/Logical Reasoning:

  • It was the same as previous papers
  • Questions were moderate, neither too easy nor too tough
  • The reasoning section had some tricky questions but understandable
