State approaches Centre for postponing NEET & JEE Main

The Chief Minister of Odisha Sri Naveen Kumar Patnaik had a conversation today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone. He appealed the centre to postpone the JEE Main and NEET 2020 Examination to further dates in view of Coronavirus pandemic

On Tuesday the Chief Minister had written to the education minister Dr Nishak to take necessary action to postpone JEE Main and NEET in order to safeguard the lives of the students  About 90,000 students are set to appear for both the exam out of that 50,000 have applied for NEET and 40,000 for JEE Main. 

Odisha is facing another hitch these days, as there are back to back cyclone and as per the weather forecast, it may still continue. In these complicated situations, it will be difficult for the students to come out of there house to appear for the exam. The cyclone has already claimed two lives.

The JEE Main 2020 is scheduled to be held on the 1st of September and shall continue till 6th of September.

NEET 2020 is scheduled to be held on 13th of September

The admit card for both JEE Main and NEET has been announced on their respective official site. Students are advised to download it as soon as possible.
