Union Minister tweeted “JEE Main 2019 Ranks will be declared after April Exams”

Results of JEE Mains were announced on January on Saturday 12  days ahead of the notified schedule.

15 candidates have scored a 100 percentile across India.

 After the declaration of results   Prakash Javadekar, The Union HRD Minister tweeted, “Ranks would be declared after the 2nd JEE to be held in April 2019. For the first time, students have a chance to improve their performance, This is the @narendramodi Govt caring for students and trying to reduce exam stress.”

In his tweets, Javedkar also congratulated the students saying, “ Nearly 8.75 lakh students took the exam. 15 Students are in the 100 Percentile. Congratulations to all students who did well. For the first time, @DG_NTA has used percentile based scoring. This is more scientific and used in best exam world over.”

The Union Minister also tweeted about NTA, congratulating them, who is conducting the examination for the first time, for declaring the JEE Main January results in record time. In his tweets, he said that “ @DG_NTA declared results of the   #JEE Main exam held between 8th & 12th Jan, in record time, & 12 days ahead of Schedule. Made possible due to use of advanced technology and tireless teamwork of NTA team. I congratulate all students who did well & the entire team.

The exam, which is conducted in two parts this year –January and April –was carried out for the first time by the newly-established National Testing Agency (NTA). The responsibility to hold the exams earlier rested with the Central Board of Secondary Examination.

The exam is conducted for two papers-Paper 1 B.E/B. Tech and Paper 2- B.Arch/B.Planning.

The results were announced on Saturday for 874,469 candidates who appeared for the Paper-1 B.e/B.Tech. The result for the candidates who took Paper-2 will be announced separately.
