Doctor of Medicine in Dermatology, Venerology, and Leprosy is a three-year postgraduation course. Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the hair, nails, skin and its diseases. It is a unique specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. This training consists of initial medical, transitional, or surgical aspects. Eligibility

To pursue a career in Dermatology, Venerology, and Leprosy, candidates need to satisfy the following criteria:

  • Candidates should have obtained an MBBS Degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

  • Candidate should have completed a 1- year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination which is MBBS before 30th April of the academic year.

Candidates in possession of an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, besides a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and having completed 1 year of internship or/ are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March or 31st April of the relevant year, may apply for NEET-PG through the online application system.

Admission Process

Aspiring candidates can get admission in MBBS course through All India Pre Medical Entrance Test (AIPMT). For admission to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), candidates are required to appear the entrance examination of AIIMS. Other Universities/institutions also conduct their own medical entrance exams for providing admission. Admission process varies from college to college.
