The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a joint entrance exam for post-graduate studies in the field of technological design held annually jointly at all IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The examination is hosted by the Industrial Design Centre, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in MDes course on offer at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, UPES Dehradun etc., and PhD programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur. It is a descriptive test covering a student's logical, creative, observation and drawing skills, tested in particular for admission to various design courses in the fields of product design, industrial design, visual communication, animation graphics, vehicle design and mobility.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay conducts Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes. IIT Bombay conducted CEED 2018 on January 20. The result of CEED 2018 has been announced.

The eligibility criteria for CEED 2018 as stated by IIT Bombay mentions that aspirants should have completed any of the below mentioned education qualifications by July 2018:
There is no bar to either the age of the candidate or the number of times a candidate can participate. The minimum academic qualification for appearing in the examination is a bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Fine Arts or Engineering from a recognized college or university of India.
Apart from the above if a candidate has cleared GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2017 then also he/she is eligible to apply for CEED 2018.
The Question Paper for CEED 2018 was comprised of two parts A and B. Those, who qualified the Part A would be eligible for Part B examination. The question paper was in English medium only.
