Admission Process:

  • The candidates can get admission into the UG and PG courses by clearing the entrance exams respectively with the minimum marks obtained in the previous course they did such as 10+2 for UG and degree course for PG.

For NID

  • Candidates need to appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims conducted by the National Institute of Design.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains based on marks obtained in DAT prelims.

Merit screening:

  • Admission is based on marks obtained in Design Aptitude Test Prelims (DAT Prelims) and Design Aptitude Test Mains (DAT Mains).
  • Merit list of the overseas (supernumerary) category, will be prepared after all the stages of the admission process have been completed.
  • Only those candidates with a score of 40% and above will be eligible for the admission.
  • Seats remaining vacant in the overseas (supernumerary) category will lapse and will not be transferred to

Animator Animators create films, working creatively to produce original and aesthetically pleasing designs and solutions, presenting a design to customers for evaluation. Liaising and working effectively with other designer and production staff 3.5 - 5 Lakhs
Character Designer Character Designer creates the look and feels of an animated character. Build character images and models that fit into the story. 3-4 lakhs
Creative Director In this role A creative Director will be involved in planning to advertise, supervising the entire creative process, and guiding the team. 12-14 lakhs
Consultant consultants help organizations to solve issues, create value, maximize growth, and improve business performance. Provide advice or suggestions for improvement according to objectives 8-10 lakh
Designpreneur Designpreneur uses creativity (and design) to develop and innovate new and old systems and structures to provide a service or product that addresses a social need/issue in the world. 6 lakhs upward

Q: What is Animation and VFX?
A: Animation is a technique of art that causes pictures or images to look like they are moving while Vfx or visual effect are a way of mixing real film shooting with false or animated images. 

Q: What is the difference between the animation in 2D and 3D?
A: The most obvious difference between the two genres of animation is the three-dimensional characteristics or the appearance of depth. 2D animation is created by drawing almost every frame of the animated movie and is the base of 3D animation. 3D animation is created by changing the poses and the placement of already created 3D models. It has more depth and is more realistic, it is a series of images/ objects created using computers or any other digital media.
