Biochemistry is the study of the Chemical processes of Living organisms. It is a branch of science which deals with chemistry. This interdisciplinary study reduces biological processes (reproduction, aging, genetics) to their chemical identity for easier comprehension. It includes the study of Bio-organic Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, Enzymology, etc. B.sc Biochemistry is a 3year undergraduate course and M.Sc in Biochemistry is a 2year postgraduate course. The Average course fee for B.sc is 15.000 to 15lacs. And for M.sc the course fees is 1lacs per Annum. The Average Starting annual salary they earn 5 lacs to 8lacs.

The admission to this course is generally merit-based.  Once the application process is complete, universities declare their respective cut off for admission to the program. On the other hand, Some Universities also conduct entrance test for the admission process. This entrance test is objective type in nature and covers topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and Biology.
