Chemistry; Colleges, Eligibility, Syllabus, Entrances, Job Prospects

Chemistry is a branch of science that studies the composition, structure and formula of matter and material. The topics of study include atoms, molecules, bonds, compounds, mixtures and chemical reactions to name a few. Chemistry can be divided into three broad areas of study- Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. The discipline is also considered to be a bridge between other science branches like Physics, Geology and Biology. It is also about the changes matter undergoes during chemical reactions.

The Courses offered in Chemistry by many universities and colleges are B.sc in Chemistry and M.sc in Chemistry. B.sc in Chemistry is a 3-year undergraduate course having 6 semesters. The average tuition fee for B.sc in Chemistry is 2lakhs to 5lakhs. Similarly, M.sc in Chemistry is a 2year post-graduate degree course having 4 semesters. The average course fees for this is 20.000 to 2lakhs.
