AIIMS Delhi has released it's prospectus for PG courses with some major changes in it. The aspirants will now be provided with more seats, more exam centres, and more reservations. Aspirants for the upcoming session will now have more opportunities in medical specialization courses than those of previous sessions in all the AIIMS institute located in Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh.
The changes
Reservation for EWS Increased
Under the 124th amendment of the Indian Constitution, the Economically Weak Section (EWS) category came into the existence for reservation. The EWS category has been provided 10% reservation of total seats by the authority. As a matter of fact, in the previous year, the EWS seats were a part of the procedure but were not included in EWS quota in the final tally.

Exam Centres
Alterations have been made in the number of exam centres with addition and subtraction of various cities. 16 new centres are added and 12 present centres have been eliminated from the list.
Included centres
States like Meghalaya, Manipur, and Sikkim. Cities like Shimla and Vishakhapatnam. And the union territory of Puducherry.
Excluded Centres
Cities like Jaipur, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana are no longer in the list of exam centres.
Replacement
In Punjab, all the exam centre cities are replaced with the city of Amritsar and Bathinda.
Re-Entry
Gandhinagar was removed in the July session but again added in the upcoming January session.
Total Seats
The total number of seats for AIIMS MD, MS, DM, M.Ch, and M.D.S courses have been increased by 9. The total seats in the previous session were 539, but with the addition of 9 seats, the total seats now available is 548.
The final registration will be completed on 11th October 2019 and the exam is set to be held on 17th November 2019. The candidates need to generate the unique code before 11th October to proceed to the final registration process.
