JIPMER PG 2019 application form for January session has been released by JIPMER, Puducherry on 24th September 2018, which was earlier scheduled to be released on 17th September 2018. The exam of JIPMER PG 2019 is held two times in a year in the month of December and May for January and July sessions respectively.
JIPMER, Puducherry has also announced the schedule for JIPMER PG entrance exam for July session. The JIPMER PG January entrance exam will be held on December 2, 2018. The exam will be organized in various cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Bhuvaneswar, Puducherry, Chennai, Trivandrum, Kolkata and Vijayawada.
JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) offers UG, PG, doctoral, super specialty & other courses in the field of medical. It also offers admission in PG courses like MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) in a wide range of specializations.
Eligibility Criteria for JIPMER PG 2019
Nationality:
i) Indian Nationals (IN)
Applicant must be an Indian National or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)
ii) Foreign Nationals (FN)
Foreign Nationals candidates are required to route their application through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. All Foreign Nationals will have to take prior permission from the Medical Council of India before applying for postgraduate Courses in the Institute. An advance copy of the application and copy of request to MCI must be submitted at JIPMER, Puducherry before the last date of receipt of applications. In the events of selection, the candidate has to apply for temporary registration with the medical council of India for the duration of postgraduate study.
Educational Qualification:
The candidates must possess MBBS or an equivalent Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Internship:
A candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/Practical training on or before 31st December 2018 [*Candidates not completing the internship on or before 31-12-2018 need not apply for January 2019 session. No condonation of Compulsory Rotating Internship beyond this date shall be accepted].
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
i. For all other categories including OBC Category 55% marks in aggregate
ii. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST Categories 50% marks in aggregate
iii. For OPH candidates the minimum aggregate as provided in (i) and (ii) for the category to which the candidate belongs shall apply.
JIPMER PG 2019 Admission Process:
Step 1: Candidates will have to check their eligibility with the officially released eligibility criteria.
Step 2: Candidates will have to register online at the official website.
Step 3: After successful registration, candidates will have to fill in JIPMER PG 2019 application form.
Step 4: Take print out of JIPMER PG 2019 admit card, after the release of admit card on the official website.
Step 5: Appear for JIPMER PG 2019 entrance examination.
Step 6: Check out the merit list, after the merit list declaration. Separate scorecard of merit candidates will also be released.
Step 8: Selected candidates who surpassed the cutoff list will be called in for counseling. Qualified candidates will have to register online for counseling.
Step 9: Candidates who registered for counseling will have to be present in person at the venue and time of counseling, to be specified in the above-stated PDF notice.
Step 10: On the day of counseling, candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank/merit.
Step 11: Candidates present for counseling will have to go through the biometric verification
Step 12: Candidates offered seats will have to pay the requisite JIPMER PG 2019 course fee for admission, then and there.

Exam pattern for JIPMER 2019:
- JIPMER PG exam will be conducted through CBT mode.
- The exam duration will be for three hours (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
- The question paper will be asked in English language only.
- There will be multiple choice questions with four alternatives.
- The syllabus will comprise of various topics from the relevant courses candidates have applied.
- Four marks will be provided for each correct answer.
- One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
