Delhi Government has merged 13 government institutions into one University which would be established soon. The name of the University is Delhi Skills & Entrepreneurship University. On Tuesday the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi has said, “Delhi Government is committed to expanding the skilling opportunities for our youth. These mergers will make the skilling ecosystem more efficient and raise the employability and skilling prospects of our youth,”. The Govt has also decided to provides various skilling opportunities and raise the student's employability. The University would be established in Puspa Vihar. The govt has sanctioned Rs 9.9 Crore for the new University.
The University would be providing regular and part-time courses which duration would be 6 months to 2 years. The Govt also approved to merge Delhi University’s College of Arts and the Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management to be the part of Dr. B R Ambedkar University.
