Admission Process:

  • For admission to B.Des Interaction Design,students have to clear the entrance exam which many colleges conduct separately followed by group discussion round and personal interview round
  • Merit based/based on counseling after qualification oe entrance test 

For NID

  • Candidates need to appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims conducted by the National Institute of Design.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains based on marks obtained in DAT prelims.
  • Merit screeing

    • Admission is based on marks obtained in Design Aptitude Test Prelims (DAT Prelims) and Design Aptitude Test Mains (DAT Mains).
    • Merit list of the overseas (supernumerary) category,will be prepared after all the stages of the admission process have been completed.Only those candidates with the score of 40% and above will be eligible for the admission Seats remaining vacant in the overseas (supernumerary) category will lapse and will not be transferred to candidates from any other category.

    Question: what is the difference between User Interface and Interaction Design?

    Answer: User interface designer creates the visual design for the UI of an application or web site, where an Interaction designer takes care the behavior of the users to using the application or website.

    Question : Is ita good money in interaction design?

    Answer; As it is a new course in the market so there is a scarcity of job aspirants ina time of evolving market.so yes pretty good amount of money is there

    Question: Do I need to learn any program?

    Answer; short answer is no. You can become a great product designer without learning to code, but I would be lying if I said that knowing at least some HTML and CSS is not an advantage

    Question: Is it too late to get into Interaction design course?

    Answer; I would say it has never been a better time to get into UI/UX. The demand across the planet is increasing daily, and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon.

    Question: Do I need a degree to get a job in interaction Design?

    Answer; yes, with a degree it is much easier to get a job in a company. 

    Question: which are the fields a interaction designer can work?

    Answer:  There are various fields and industries a Interaction designer can work.There are various industry verticals such as IT services & products, consumer durables & devices, automotive, healthcare, media etc.

    Question: Do I need to know how to draw?

    Answer: Would being a good illustrator help you as an interaction designer? Probably. Is it necessary? No. We would say it’s more necessary to have a good aesthetic sense and expertise with design-related tools (especially prototyping tools). It is most important to know how design thinking, user researcher methods, and aesthetic ability work together.

    Question: What should I be   Paying attention to regarding to industry? 

    Answer:  First and foremost, you should follow the Interaction Design Association. You should be going to local talks, meeting folks, and getting a better sense of what it means to be an interaction designer. Additionally, there is a plethora of resources to help you keep up-to-date.
