  • Osmania University: BFA in Applied Arts is an undergraduate full time course with five years duration. Admission is based on the Aptitude Test that is conducted for the course. A candidate who has passed their class 12 exam will be eligible for the course. 
  • Aligarh Muslim University: PG Diploma in Applied Arts is a two year full time course. The candidate must have passed their Bachelors course from a recognized university. Interested candidates can apply online or offline to the course by filling in the detailed information. The admission is on the basis of the marks secured in the Bachelors exam. 
  • University of Lucknow: 3 years full time Bachelor of Fine Arts course is offered by this university. The candidate must have passed their class 12 exam for applying to this course. 
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University:   Bachelor of Fine Arts, in Applied Art & Visual Communication is a four      year course. After the completion of the class 12 exam, a student can apply for this program. There are 35 seats in the program.

Admission Process

For Commercial Artist
You should complete your class 10 exams and then enter five year degree courses in art. 
One must have completed their class 12 exams in any stream. However, more preference is given to Art stream students.
Candidates who have a Bachelors degree or Diploma in Art with specialization in their area of interest.
For Fine Artist
Certificate Courses:
There is no specific admission criterion for these courses. Any candidate who is willing to pursue the course can apply for this course. However there are some institutions which prefer candidates who have at least completed their class 10 exams before they apply for these courses. 
Diploma and Bachelor Degree Courses:
After completing class 12, any candidate can apply to this course. 
Admission to these courses is done on the basis of marks one gets in class 12 and also on the merit list prepared by the educational institution.
For testing the skills of the candidates, the institute can take a creative test in painting or drawing.
PG Diploma and Master Degree Courses:
To enroll for PG Diploma or Masters Degree Courses, the candidate must have scored at least 50 percent marks in their Bachelors of Fine Arts or BA Degree course.
Admissions to these courses are done on the basis of the marks that a student scored in their Bachelors exam or on the basis of a written exam. Group discussion and interviews are also conducted to test the skill level of the candidates.
