The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2021 exam was sucessfully conducted in different cities by XLRI , Jameshedpur on 3rd January, 2021. The candidates appeared for XAT in online mode. The duration given to candidates was three hours and total number of questions is 100. This year there was changes made in exam pattern of XAT. XLRI had introduced NAT ( Numerical Answer Type) question pattern in exam without negative marking where candidates have to use the virtual key pad appearing on the computer screen and enter the numerical answer. In XAT exam there is no essay wiriting like descriptive type questions. There is negative marking in XAT 2021 exam if un-attempted every 8 questions. The expected cut off by XLRI for XAT 2021 is 35-36 marks.
The XAT 2021 exam has four sections they are Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), General Knowledge (GK). This year most diificult questions are from Quantitative Aptitide whereas other section questions are easy for candidates. Decison making section was tricky this year also. For General knowledge section there is no negative marking. Candidates had attempt less than 50% questions. While comparing to XAT 2020 exam previous year it was said that the questions are quite easy for all. Everyone knows that XAT exam is known for its difficulty level and being tricky. In previous year there was no negative marking in XAT 2020 and time duration was also 3.5 hours given to candidates.

XAT 2020 exam analysis:
In 2020 XAT exam had two parts. First part contains 75 questions from VA & LR , DM and QA & DI sections. The questions are MCQs. Second part was General knowledge section which contains 25 questions. The overall analysis of XAT 2020 exam paper was moderate to difficult side. Decision making questions was found difficult.
