Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur has announced that XAT 2019 exam will be held on 6th January 2019 with a changed exam pattern. And registration will close on 30th Nov 2018.
The XAT 2019 score is accepted by more than 150 B-schools across the Indian sub-continent. The participating institutes are either Xavier Associate Management Institutes (XAMI) or Non-XAMI. Last year, the number of XAMI institutes was 11 and number of non-XAMI institutes was 145.

XAT 2019 exam analysis:
XAT has undergone several changes in terms of exam pattern, its duration or registration process. XLRI has changed exam pattern for XAT 2019. XAT 2019 will be conducted without “Essay Writing Test” as a computer-based test. The test duration will also be for three hours instead of three and a half hours.
XAT Exam pattern will consist of 4 sections instead of earlier 5. The first 3 sections (Verbal and Logical Ability; Decision Making; Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation) with Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will determine your merit while in last 10 minutes you are supposed to solve the 25 GK questions.

XAT 2018 Exam analysis:
XAT 2018 was conducted on January 7, 2018. In 2018, for the first time ever the entrance test was conducted in online mode. Apart from this, it was mandatory for candidates to submit the essay writing question in online mode only. Since this was the first time XAT was conducted in online mode, therefore many candidates reported several technical problems where some could not operate their computer system while some reported their system shut down during the essay writing test that caused them to write their answers again. There were also cases where a few test centers canceled the exam.
XAT 2018 exam was divided into two parts. The first part comprised of Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. And the second part comprised General Knowledge and Essay Writing Test. The overall difficulty level of the XAT 2018 exam was higher than the previous year.
