The printed application forms for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2020 were launched by Founder- Chancellor Dr G. Vishwanathan on 8th of November, 2019 at the head post office, Vellore. A valid rank in VITEEE is compulsory for students who wish to take admission in various B. Tech courses in VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT AP, and VIT Bhopal.
VITEEE 2020 will be a computer based exam that will be conducted from 13th to 19th of April, 2020 in 120 cities of India as well as in Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat, and Qatar.
The exam tests students based on their abilities in Math/ Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude. It is a 150 minutes (2 and half hours) test that consists of 125 questions. Selection is based on the ranks of the students and admission is done through offline counselling at various VIT campuses, during which students can also choose the desired program and campus.
The last date to fill up the application form is 29th of February, 2020 (tentative).

Steps to fill application form
Offline (OMR) Application Form:
Candidates can obtain the application form at a cost of Rs.1250/- through the following modes:
- From the designated list of post offices throughout India.
- By producing the Demand Draft for Rs. 1250/- in favour of 'Vellore Institute of Technology', in person, from the following campuses:
- VIT, Vellore Campus
- VIT, Chennai Campus
- VIT-AP
- VIT-Bhopal (MP)

Online Application Form:
Online application through web mode:
- Net banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Paytm at INR 1150 for General Candidates
- Applicants opting for test centers in foreign countries have to pay USD 50 (excluding bank charges)
Online application form through mobile app mode:
- Candidates can download the VITEEE app available on Google Playstore and fill the form through the same.
Candidates filling form online are not required to send hard copies to the institute.
