NIT Silchar

National Institute of Technology, Silchar, is one of the premier educational institutions in the country. It offers a wide variety of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate level. Applications are available through the university website. The selection process consists of performance in external examinations such as GATE, JEE Main and IIT JAM for certain courses, and internally conducted processes for other courses. Seats are offered purely on merit basis of rank secured in the entrance exam. College offers B.Tech, MTech, M.Sc. and MBA degrees. A Master’s degree in Business Administration is also offered with various specializations by the University. Candidates interested may apply through the official university website, and appear for the internally conducted selection process for consideration for admission. The Institute offers M.Tech. and M.Sc. degrees. Candidates wishing to apply to these courses may do so through the official university website after the release of the official notification from the university. The University offers doctorate level programs as well in almost all disciplines under the Institute. Applications are accepted for these programs in two batches, the first being the July – December batch where applications close towards the end of the month of April.
